The Knicks have a back-to-back set starting with the Celtics tomorrow and the Magic on Monday. Burks could return against Orlando on MLK Day, but Tom Thibodeau might end up playing it safe as his team will have two days off after another B2B set on Thursday and Friday which would allow Burks a couple more days to get back into game shape.

“I'm coming back with vengeance," George said. "I didn't like, not so much of the noise and everything around [the way last season ended], but just the fact that people saw weakness. And I had to answer that.” To PG-13's credit, he's answered the call so far, averaging 25.3 points, 6.1 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game in 2020-21. He also boasts career-high shooting numbers, converting on 50% of his field goals and nearly 52% from beyond the arc, a big reason why he ranks 12th in 9-cat a month into the season.

The Miami Heat's interest level in Bradley Beal is reportedly "high" if the guard becomes available via trade, reports Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald.

Beal hasn't openly requested a trade, but the Wizards are 2-9 this season while his NBA-leading 35 points a game go wasted, making it hard to imagine the thought hasn't crossed his mind. He's 27-years-old and is in the prime of his career, and should GM Tommy Sheppard put him on the trade market, a handful of teams will be blowing up his phone with their best offers, and Pat Riley will reportedly be one of them as he looks to lead Miami back to the Finals.

Luka Doncic was upset that head coach Rick Carlisle didn't call a timeout on Friday night in the game's final moments.

"It's coach's decision, but if we would have made the shot, everything would be good," Doncic said postgame. "... But I don't know. It's coach's decision to call a timeout or no, so I think it's good." Luka's being nice there, but he was visibly upset with how the end of the game out for the Mavs (video below). With less than 25 ticks left and Dallas down two, Luka swung the ball to an open Trey Burke after being double-teamed. Burke missed but the Mavs got an offensive rebound that resulted in a deep Kristaps Porzingis 3-pointer with 10.4 seconds left. He bricked it and Dallas would go on to lose the game. Doncic surely would've loved for his team to have taken a higher quality shot than that.
