Wayne Ellington has reportedly signed a one-year, $2.6 million contract with the Pistons.

Ellington is familiar with Dwane Casey and his system, as he spent 28 games with the Pistons during the 2018-19 season in which he put up averages of 12.0 points, 2.9 triples, 2.1 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.1 steals and 0.9 turnovers per game on 42.1% shooting. The 33-year-old will be battling Delon Wright for the starting two-spot in Detroit, and that's a position battle we'll be watching closely over the course of training camp. Wright offers a lot more upside in fantasy hoops, but if Ellington is named the starter, he could have some low-end value as a 3-point specialist in deep leagues.

Patrick Williams had a solid game vs the Lakers on Saturday, recording 13 points, eight rebounds, an assist and a block.

Williams shot 5-of-12 with two 3-pointers against the Lakers in a game that was more lopsided than the score indicates. But it was a good bounce-back night for the rookie who totalled just nine points in the last two games. If he can provide some consistent scoring and rebounding, he's worth rostering but until then, consider him a streaming option when guys like Otto Porter Jr. (rest) are out like tonight.

LeBron James shot just 6-of-16 from the floor, finishing with a season-low 17 points, 11 rebounds, six assists and two steals in the Lakers' win on Saturday night.

One game after scoring a season-high 34, Bron scored a season-low 17 but as always he filled up the box score in with boards and dimes. Though he failed to make a 3-pointer for the first time this season. Still, the Lakers cruised to a 101-90 win behind Anthony Davis' monster night and James continues to put up really good fantasy numbers at the age of 36.

Monte Morris played 36 minutes in Saturday’s 2OT win over the Suns, registering 13 points (5-of-12 FGs), four rebounds, one assist, one blocked shot and three 3-pointers.

Morris had just one assist in Saturday’s win, the fewest that he’s tallied in a game this season since the season opener (zero vs. Sacramento). The low turnover count is what keeps him on the fantasy radar, but just barely. Whenever Jamal Murray is healthy enough to play, Morris, who’s rostered in 24% of Yahoo leagues, isn’t a must-play.

JaMychal Green shot 4-of-8 from the field and 6-of-6 from the foul line in Saturday’s win over the Suns, accounting for 16 points, five rebounds, two assists and two 3-pointers in 24 minutes.

Green doesn’t offer much in the way of fantasy value, as he ranks just inside of the top-200 in both 8- and 9-cat formats. One reason for this is his recent inconsistency on offense; Green has alternated double-digit and single-digit scoring efforts in each of Denver’s last seven games. If the trend holds Green, who’s rostered in 13% of Yahoo leagues, could be in for a round night come Monday when the Nuggets visit Dallas.

Once again coming off the bench, Michael Porter Jr. tallied 14 points (5-of-9 FGs, 1-of-1 FTs) 11 rebounds, one steal, one blocked shot and three 3-pointers in 35 minutes Saturday vs. the Suns.

Porter Jr. was used in the sixth-man role in both of the Nuggets’ wins in Phoenix, with Will Barton remaining in the starting lineup. But after playing well Friday night, Barton put forth a brutal showing on Saturday. He played 21 minutes, scoring one point (0-of-5 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs), two rebounds, two assists and one steal. Will that be enough to get coach Michael Malone to move Porter back into the starting lineup? We’ll have to wait until Monday night in Dallas to find out, but there’s no doubt that MPJ has the higher fantasy ceiling. What's even better for the Nuggets, and by extension fantasy managers, is that Porter Jr. isn't focused on just scoring. "I just look at great scorers, guys that are really good at putting the ball in the hoop, but it never translates to winning championships & winning playoff series," Porter Jr. said after the win. I'm not here to just put up stats. I'm here to win." That will only help his case when it comes to getting back into the starting lineup.

Jamal Murray (left shoulder) played 43 minutes in Saturday’s 2OT win over the Suns, scoring 26 points (10-of-22 FGs, 3-of-4 FTs) with six rebounds, five assists, one blocked shot and three 3-pointers.

Murray was a question mark for this one due to the left shoulder issue, but he was able to take on his usual workload in a double-overtime marathon. And he was the reason why the game went to overtime, as his contested 3-pointer as time expired tied the game at the end of regulation. Murray has struggled with his shot a bit this season, with his sore right elbow being a big reason why. He was better Saturday night, so hopefully this is a step in the right direction for him. Over the last week, the “Blue Arrow” has been a top-80 player in both 8- and 9-cat formats, which is well below his Yahoo ADP (37).

Nikola Jokic filled the stat sheet once again Saturday night, as he put up 29 points (9-of-21 FGs, 11-of-14 FTs), 22 rebounds, six assists and one steal in 42 minutes vs. the Suns.

Jokic may not have put up another triple-double, but he did have his first 20/20 game of the season. What is also noteworthy from this performance was the fact that the Joker didn’t attempt a 3-pointer, doing most of his damage in the paint and from the foul line. Jokic finishing the night 1-of-6 on shots outside of the paint. The Suns really didn’t have an answer for him, and they aren’t the first team to find themselves in that position. Jokic ranks first in both 8- and 9-cat formats, and he may stay there with James Harden now in Brooklyn.

Anthony Davis went off for a season-high 37 points, six rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block in the Lakers 101-90 win over the Bulls.

After a so-so performance against the Bucks on Thursday, AD said, "I think I suck right now. I'm not making shots. I'm not making free throws." A couple of days later, he makes 14-of-21 shots and 7-of-9 free throws en route to his best game of the season and a Lakers win. Davis and his fantasy managers know that he hasn't played up to his standard through 17 games, but maybe tonight's explosion is an indication of what's to come for the superstar big who had an ADP of 3.3 in Yahoo leagues this season.

Ricky Rubio started on Saturday night, finishing with nine points, seven boards, seven dimes and a steal in the Wolves in 120-110 win over the Pelicans.

Rubio was bumped into the starting lineup with D'Angelo Russell (rest) sitting out and nearly dropped a triple-double. He only took four shots in the game but hit 7-of-10 free throws and stuffed the stat sheet while leading a young and undermanned Wolves team to victory. He'll be back on the bench in the next game but if you played him tonight, give yourself a pat on the back.

Reid used a big 14-point first half to power his way to a season-high scoring night that helped Minnesota pick up a win without D'Angelo Russell (rest) and Karl-Anthony Towns (COVID). The former LSU Tiger has notched double-figure scoring in three straight games now, averaging 15.6 points, five rebounds and 2.6 blocks in that stretch. He's also made 16-of-25 field goals five 3-pointers, making him a great part-time hold until KAT returns.

Due to an ankle sprain and a case of COVID-19, Smith had been absent from the Suns rotation since the second game of the season. The rookie has a lot of work to do before he receives consistent rotation minutes, so he can be left on the waiver wire for the time being.

No Victor Oladipo (rest) freed up a few minutes for the rookie, who played just three Friday night. Jones isn’t worth rostering right now, regardless of league format, but he deserves credit for his showing Saturday night.
