Mike Davis rushed once for three yards and caught 5-of-6 targets for 34 yards in the Panthers' Week 9 loss to the Chiefs.

Despite rumors of a rotation, Davis was a very clear backup to Christian McCaffrey, who handled 18 carries and 10 targets in his return from a high-ankle sprain. Davis' fantasy value is completely tied to McCaffrey's health. If possible, Davis is a quality bench hold now that it's established that Davis could flirt with RB1 numbers if McCaffrey were to miss time again.

Watkins missed the Divisional Round win against the Browns, but this is an upgrade from his practice round of DNPs last week. Watkins appears to be headed in the right direction, but Thursday is the key day for him.

Stanley is two months removed from surgery after breaking his ankle in Week 8. He'll likely miss the entire offseason but the Ravens are hoping to have him for the start of camp. Pro Football Focus' No. 2 pass blocker before going down, Stanley will be entering the second season of a five-year, $98.75 million contract in 2021.

Ravens coach John Harbaugh said he's "totally certain" the Ravens will sign Lamar Jackson to a long-term extension.

“Eric [DeCosta] and I have talked about that and other contracts, so I’m very confident that Eric and those guys will do a great job,” Harbaugh said. “Absolutely, we want Lamar to sign a long-term deal and be with us. I’m totally certain that’s going to happen. When it happens, that’s the details. That’s what we’ve got to figure out.” Harbaugh was commenting on a report that the Ravens plan to explore an extension for Jackson this offseason. Baltimore is a lock to pick up Jackson's fifth-year option in May. There's optimism the sides can reach a long-term deal before next year's training camp.

Mahomes has "no symptoms" but remains in the concussion protocol. He'll likely be listed as limited or DNP. The Chiefs plan to ramp up Mahomes's reps later in the week. Mahomes is also dealing with a foot injury, but this puts him on track to start in the AFC Championship against the Bills.

Philip Rivers announced his retirement after 17 NFL seasons.

Colts general manager had said Rivers would make a decision about his retirement next month, but Rivers, 39, only needed two weeks to say he would leave the game after 16 years with the Chargers and one season with Indianapolis. Rivers, who will become the head coach at St. Michael Catholic High School in Alabama, threw for at least 30 touchdowns six times in his career, topping 4,500 passing yards in five seasons. Incredibly, he didn't miss a game since taking over as the Chargers' starting QB in 2006. Rivers and the Chargers had a run of excellent regular seasons with LaDainian Tomlinson as the team's offensive centerpiece, only to falter in the postseason, sometimes in heart wrenching fashion. In his only season with the Colts, Rivers led the team to the playoffs before losing to the Bills in the Wild Card round. Rivers' oddball sidearm delivery will go down as one of the quirkiest and most effective throwing motions in league history. The Colts will bring in new quarterbacks via the NFL draft or free agency -- perhaps both. QB Jacoby Brissett is an unrestricted free agent.

A.J. Brown said he had surgery on both of his knees.

Brown claims that they believed his 2020 season was done after a Week 2 knee injury, but he managed to play through the pain. That makes his 70-1,075-11 receiving line across 14 games even more impressive. Brown simply is one of the best and most physical athletes at the position. It's unclear what surgeries he had -- his Week 2 injury was reportedly a bone bruise -- but he has months to get back to full health before training camp. With Corey Davis and Jonnu Smith headed for free agency, Brown will be in the WR1 conversation for 2021 fantasy drafts. He'll be 24 years old then.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Zack Moss had "tight rope" ankle surgery.

This procedure was made famous with Tua Tagovailoa before the 2019 National Championship game. It will treat his high-ankle sprain. Schefter reports Moss is expected to be at full health for offseason workouts and training camp. As a rookie, Moss played ahead of Devin Singletary in obvious rushing downs. With both backs under contract for 2021, expect this to be a running back by committee, leaving both backs in no man's land. Moss belongs on the RB3/4 border ahead of 2021 fantasy drafts.

NFL suspended free agent WR Corey Coleman six games.

The reason is unknown, but six games is a PED-length suspension. Unable to make the Giants out of camp last fall, Coleman has not appeared in a regular season game since 2018. He tore his ACL in 2019. Although he is still only 26 years old, the No. 15 overall pick of the 2016 draft is at the end of the NFL line.
