Jones was also limited on Monday. It's a new issue. We haven't heard anything about it being serious, but it is best not to assume things with Jones and his health. At least based on what we know Tuesday afternoon, Jones should be out there as an elite WR1 for Thursday evening's mouthwatering matchup with the Panthers.

Davis was seen hobbling during last week's game against the Ravens after suffering an ankle injury in the first quarter. A missed Thursday practice is hardly a good sign that Davis will be available for the AFC title game against the Chiefs this Sunday. Buffalo would likely use fewer four-receiver sets and Dawson Knox could see more run against KC if Davis is inactive.

Cole Beasley was added to the Bills' injury report on Thursday, getting in a "limited" session with a knee issue.

We would guess this is just maintenance after Beasley was absent from Wednesday's report, though it will be worth monitoring on Friday. Beasley has nowhere to go but up for Sunday's title tilt after being held to 0/0/0 in the Divisional Round. With Gabriel Davis (ankle) not practicing, Beasley's floor inches up a tad.

Steelers signed QB Dwayne Haskins, DB Stephen Denmark, TE Charles Jones, and TE Dax Raymond to reserve/future contracts.

Haskins joins the Steelers after his two-year run in Washington ended with the team releasing him following a blatant violation of COVID-19 protocols. Pittsburgh also adds Jones and Raymond to a relatively shallow tight end depth chart. Raymond -- who had a 73rd percentile speed score at the 2019 NFL combine -- was one of Jordan Love's primary targets at Utah State. He was signed by Chicago as an undrafted free agent in 2019 before being released by the Bears after the 2019 season.

An offensive quality control coach, Austin worked alongside Saleh with the 49ers in 2019 before spending 2020 out of the league. Still only 36 years old, Austin will provide a recent perspective to a promising but unproven Jets receiver corps, one highlighted by second-year pro Denzel Mims. Ausin experienced some high highs and low lows during his 10-year career, seeing it all as a Pro Bowler and chronic injury sufferer.

Le'Veon Bell was held out of Thursday's practice after experiencing swelling in his knee.

Bell was absent from Wednesday's injury report, but that is when the swelling began. He is now on the wrong side of questionable for Sunday's AFC title tilt with the Bills, but even if Bell was healthy, he was going to have a small role. That is even if Clyde Edwards-Helaire (ankle, hip) remains sidelined. Regardless of what happens going forward this week, Bell cannot be trusted in DFS.

Patrick Mahomes (concussion) was limited during Thursday's practice.

Mahomes, who remains in the league's concussion protocol after suffering a brain injury last week against the Browns, "took all the reps" in Wednesday's practice, per head coach Andy Reid. Mahomes took the majority of the practice snaps on Thursday. Mahomes is on track to suit up in the AFC Championship Game against the Bills this Sunday. "The Chiefs wouldn't be using all of this practice time on a QB who they didn't think was going to play," said ESPN's Adam Teicher, who covers the Chiefs.

The team signed Haskins after meeting with him Thursday. The 23-year-old quarterback will look to reestablish himself in Pittsburgh after a horrific two-year run in Washington that ended with Haskins losing his captain spot after violating COVID-19 protocols by attending a maskless party. Haskins certainly isn't a lock to be on the Steelers' 53-man roster to start the 2021 season, and we'd expect the team to add other QB options with Ben Roethlisberger entering the twilight of his career.

Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer reports the Steelers are "planning to sign" free agent QB Dwayne Haskins.

Haskins is meeting with the coaching staff on Thursday. He will be signed if "all goes well." That, of course, can't be taken for granted with Haskins coming off his disastrous two-year tenure in Washington. The Steelers have needed an upgrade at the backup quarterback for years, but it is highly unclear if Haskins is actually better than Mason Rudolph. We would hope Haskins wouldn't be the final signal caller who is added behind a rapidly-declining Ben Roethlisberger.

Bucs head coach Bruce Arians said Antonio Brown (knee) will be a game-time decision against the Packers.

Arians said Brown -- who has not practiced this week after suffering the knee injury in the Divisional Round -- won't have to practice to suit up Sunday against Green Bay. "He's a veteran," Arians said. "He knows what he's doing." It's uncertain whether Brown would be limited against the Packers if he's able to play through the knee issue, making him a dicey DFS option at best. His absence would open up snaps and targets for Scotty Miller and Tyler Johnson.

Lions head coach Dan Campbell said he wants to use RB D'Andre Swift as a slot receiver.

After elaborating on how his Lions will "bite off" the kneecaps of their opponents -- among other medieval torture techniques -- the new Detroit head coach said he wants an offensive coordinator who will get Swift in space against linebackers, including using him in the slot. An excellent pass catcher, Swift excelled as the team's primary pass-catching back late in the 2020 season, catching 46 of 57 targets for 357 yards and two touchdowns. Swift's best game of the season was in Week 10 against Washington, when he exploited defensive mismatches and caught all five of his targets for 68 yards and a score. Swift would transform into a PPR force if the team commits to the shifty back in such a role.

Steelers are in need of a backup quarterback with only Mason Rodolph under contract behind Ben Roethlisberger in 2021, but Haskins ain't it. Only one year removed from coming off the board as Washington's No. 15 overall pick, Haskins showed zero signs of development or maturity for a revamped organization last year, finally getting benched and waived (with no team claiming him) altogether ahead of the regular season finale. Despite his surrounding interest, the 23-year-old isn't expected to sign anywhere until the new league year.
