Before the season was suspended on March 11, Clint Capela (plantar fasciitis) was making good functional progress and had progressed to participating in half-court workouts according to Sarah K. Spencer.

The last update we had on Capela prior to this news was that he was still experiencing soreness on March 7, so he was unlikely to make a big impact in the fantasy playoffs at the time. But even if the NBA tries to squeeze in some regular season games in the near future, it's fair to expect strict restrictions on his playing time if he gets the green light.

Kyrie Irving (right shoulder) could join the Nets in Orlando as an inactive player, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.com.

Back when he had surgery in March, he had a six-month timetable, so there was really no shot that Irving would be able to make it back out there in 2019-20 unless the NBA really had to push the return back. He should have plenty of time to recover for the start of the 2020-21 season, but it'll be Spencer Dinwiddie and Caris LeVert handling the ball when the 2019-20 Nets get another chance to play.

Kevin Durant (right Achilles) confirmed that he will not play in the 2019-20 season.

"My season is over," KD said. Excluding GM Sean Marks saying in early May that KD could return in 2019-20, the majority of reports have said he is not going to be out there. KD tore his Achilles about a year ago, but he should be close to a full go for the 2020-21 season. Without KD when the NBA comes back in eight weeks, that means more work for Caris LeVert, who was on fire just before the NBA went on hiatus. In 2020-21, KD will be an option as a top-10 pick.

Suns owner Robert Sarver said he expects Kelly Oubre (right knee) can play when the Suns return to play for 2019-20.

He tore his meniscus in February and needed surgery in early March. Surgery on a meniscus usually requires 4-8 weeks off, so Oubre has received plenty of time to recover. Although, this is certainly a different case with players not having the proper rehab protocol due to COVID-19, so Oubre will likely have some minutes limits on him. This shouldn't really affect Mikal Bridges much, but Cam Johnson would lose playing time.

President of Basketball Operations Jeff Weltman said the Magic do not expect Jonathan Isaac (left knee) to play in 2019-20, but will let his rehab dictate his timetable.

"That's no different than it ever was, but I'm saying we don't expect him to be back," Weltman said. It's been a lengthy rehab for Isaac since he hurt his knee on the first day of 2020, and his rehab is taking a little longer than expected since he didn't need surgery. When the Magic get going again, this could help James Ennis get more playing time.

Jamal Murray confirmed that Nikola Jokic is in shape and he's "got a little four pack."

"It's kind of weird to see him like this where he's more athletic, he's moving a lot better," Murray said about Jokic. Yesterday, there was some talk of Jokic being in shape according to coach Mike Malone. Jokic has routinely been out of shape coming into seasons and was the target of many jokes back in training camp, so seeing The Joker getting in shape and ready for a postseason run is encouraging after time off. Fantasy wise, Jokic has been one of the best players and he could get a hot start when the NBA resumes.

Zach Collins (left shoulder dislocation) reiterated that he expects to be medically cleared when the Blazers resume practicing.

“I haven’t been officially cleared, Collins said. "But in talking to trainers about how I feel and what I’m able to do, everybody is on same page that I should be able to do everything with no issues." It will be interesting to see how coach Terry Stotts deploys Collins and Jusuf Nurkic (leg), in a frontcourt that had been starting Hassan Whiteside and Carmelo Anthony.

Murray got hurt just before the shutdown in March. The Spurs didn't provide a timetable at the time, but the injury reportedly wasn't viewed as a "long-term" issue. He's had nearly three months to recover and will get even more time before the NBA actually tips off again in Orlando, so he should be fine.

"I had NBA offers right before the COVID-19 pandemic, where I was potentially going to go back after the NBL season," he said. "[E]specially halfway through the season when the buyout and trade season comes up. It saves me having to spend the whole season over there and I can kind of join someone late, like I did with the Warriors last time. [I] can try to make a playoff run and then let that phase into the Olympics. I still think I've got a little bit of fuel left in the tank." It's certainly possible the 35-year-old Bogut might earn a spot on a playoff roster.

Andre Roberson (left knee surgery) "would be ready to play now if the season hadn't stopped," according to Erik Horne of The Athletic.

Roberson himself said in April that he was "kinda past the rehab stage," so it sounds like there's a good chance he'll be available for OKC's eight regular-season games and beyond. The start of the season is still many weeks away, too, giving him extra time to rehab. Although he'll likely be on a minute-limit, and won't help DFS owners, it's a boost for OKC's depth and defense.

Bazley was expected to miss 4-6 weeks back on Feb. 10, so it stands to reason that he's fully recovered. He was averaging just 17.2 minutes per game, scoring 4.5 points on 38.3% FGs and 68.1% FTs, so there was never any fantasy value.

This was the expectation all along, so this is simply further confirmation. There's still no word about whether Kyrie Irving (right shoulder surgery) might return, since the typical recovery time would bring him back in early September. All along, the Nets have maintained that their sights are set on the 2020-21 season.

Nikola Jokic has reportedly "stayed in great shape" in recent months, and coach Mike Malone said he looks "even lighter" than he was prior to the shutdown.

“If there are reports out there of a 6'11" lean, mean fighting machine Serbian walking around I believe it because I’ve seen it," Malone said. Jokic admitted he wasn't in top shape when the 2019-20 season began, so there was some concern that he'd put on weight during the pandemic. Instead, it sounds like he'll be ready to hit the ground running.
