Josina Anderson reports the Buccaneers are "getting close" to finalizing a reworked contract for Tom Brady.

Tampa Bay is projected to have roughly $19 million in cap space with a number of key players — Chris Godwin, Shaq Barrett, Ndamukong Suh, Antonio Brown — scheduled to hit the open market. Any restructured/extended contract would simply allow the team to spread Brady's earnings across multiple years, making it easier to retain impending free agents for another Championship run. Brady, 43, has already said he'd "consider" playing beyond 45 years old and will undoubtedly walk away whenever he deems fit (and not a day earlier).

NESN's Doug Kyed reports free agent Kyle Rudolph is interested in signing with the Patriots.

The Patriots were involved in trade talks for Rudolph before he signed an extension with the Vikings in 2019. They could be a potential landing spot, though Rudolph isn't much of an upgrade on Ryan Izzo, and his presence would likely block one of Dalton Keene or Devin Asiasi after New England invested a pair of third-round picks in them last offseason. Rudolph has also expressed interest in signing with the Browns.

Broncos LB Von Miller had criminal charges against him dropped.

The district attorney's office declined to file charges "based on review of information that is currently available." Miller was involved in an alleged domestic violence case in January by his ex-fiancee. With his legal troubles resolved, the Broncos will now have to decide what to do with Miller's $22 million cap hit, though the NFL may launch its own investigation into Miller's case. Broncos GM George Paton has said the team wants Miller back for the 2021 season.

The Athletic's Vic Tafur reports the Raiders are "in talks" about a new contract with impending free agent LB Nicholas Morrow.

Morrow had a breakout 2020, starting 11 games while leading the Raiders in solo tackles (62) and finishing second in sacks (3) and TFLs (8). The expectation has been that he'll test free agency, but the Raiders are making a push to bring him back. A three-down linebacker that can play multiple spots, 25-year-old Morrow will have a strong market if the Raiders let him walk.

Broncos GM George Paton said re-signing DT Shelby Harris is a "priority" this offseason.

Harris missed four games on the COVID-19 list last year. His sack totals (2.5) were down, but he remained effective when healthy, finishing near the top of PFF's interior defender grades. Harris didn't become a full-time starter until 2019 and has less ware on him than most 29-year-old defensive linemen. He's expected to command $10 million annually if he reaches free agency.

Impending free agent Damontae Kazee (Achilles) expects to be ready for the start of training camp.

Kazee is five months removed from Achilles surgery. He had an every-down role before the injury, posting 20 tackles and a forced fumble in four games. The Falcons are moving to a new defense under DC Dean Peas, but there should be interest in bringing Kazee back. Re-signing with Atlanta could let Kazee rehab his value on a prove-it deal.
