Buffalo Bills at Tennessee Titans
Final: BUF 14-7
Spread: TEN -3
As many of us thought, this was going to be a defensive battle and that is exactly what it was. The Titans only had 252 total yards of offense in this one and the Bills themselves were barely over 300. Josh Allen was the difference in this game throwing two touchdowns despite committing the games lone turnover. The Bills, with this win, moved to 4-1 and remained just half a game behind the Patriots for the division lead.
Josh Allen - Allen had a very solid contest notching nearly 18 fantasy points and that’s in a contest in which there was 21 points in total. What is a real positive is that almost all 18 points came through the air, considering he was shut down on the ground, carrying the ball 10 times for only 27 yards. The Bills face the Dolphins, Eagles, Redskins and Dolphins again the next four games. Allen is going to be VERY popular on waiver-wire across all leagues.
Derrick Henry - Henry didn’t have his best game on the ground averaging less than four yards per carry, but he was able to get in the end zone in this one. Henry has scored in four-of-five games this year and the one game he didn’t, he rushed for 100 yards. The Titans can’t move with the ball with Marcus Mariota airing it out on a consistent basis, which is why we’ve seen Henry touch the ball 20-plus times three times this year and 15-plus in all five. Continue to ride Henry’s hot hand and all the volume he is seeing.
Titans Passing Attack - There is absolutely no trust in this passing game right now. Mariota threw the ball only 22 times and completed only 13 passes and didn’t surpass 200 yards. A.J. Brown, Corey Davis and Delanie Walker combined for five catches for 65 yards. You cannot trust ANY of these guys in fantasy on a week-to-week basis with Mariota playing so horribly. Henry is the only worthy option on this Titans offense.
No injuries to report.
