The Giants officially placed Etta-Tawo (Achilles) on injured reserve Tuesday, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports.

No surprise here, as Etta-Tawo suffered a torn Achilles during Monday's practice. Rather than competing for a depth receiving role with the Giants, he will now shift his attention toward his recovery and the 2020 season. Aug 13 6:20 pm (EST)

The Bills' official website believes fourth-round WR Gabriel Davis could be a "plug-and-play weapon."

The 6-foot-2 UCF product provides some badly-needed size for the Bills' receiver corps. Although he is not the most polished route runner, Davis' immediate impact could come in the form of plays down the field and targets in the red zone. A 21-year-old rookie, Davis is an intriguing Dynasty league prospect.

The Bills' official website confirms the team wants third-round RB Zack Moss to "play a role similar to Frank Gore's."

The Bills want Moss to be a powerful change-of-pace complement to Devin Singletary. Like Gore, Moss can also catch passes, so his presence on the field won't be a "tell" the way it is with some power backs. It is unclear if the Bills view Singletary as a true every-down talent. Especially once bye weeks arrive, Moss could provide some standalone re-draft value as an RB4.

The Bills' official website reports Stefon Diggs worked out with Josh Allen earlier this offseason.

It is just something to file away headed into training camp. Diggs and Allen will be a shotgun wedding of sorts after getting zero official offseason practices to start establishing their chemistry, but informal workouts are much better than nothing. Barring massive strides in the accuracy department, Allen could make life difficult for Diggs down the field.

Sports Illustrated's Mike Fisher reports the Cowboys do not want to trade for Browns TE David Njoku.

This conflicts with Cleveland.com's report that Dallas "might have some interest" in Njoku, who asked for a trade on Friday. The Cowboys simply have too many weapons on offense and too many cap-related questions to try and work a trade for a tight end who eventually will need a new contract. The Browns have a spot in their starting lineup for Njoku, but he likely wants a chance to reach 60+ targets. That won't happen in Cleveland with Odell Beckham, Jarvis Landry, Austin Hooper, Nick Chubb, and Kareem Hunt demanding most looks. Njoku likely wouldn't fetch anything more than a Day 3 pick if a deal went down.

Cleveland.com's Mary Kay Cabot reports the Cowboys "might have some interest" in Browns TE David Njoku.

Not exactly the strongest quote we've seen, but it's notable given the fantasy ramifications a potential Njoku trade could have. Even with Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski bringing over a two-tight end base set, Njoku and his new agent Drew Rosenhaus believe he's best outside of Cleveland for what will be his final season on his rookie contract. Depending on his landing spot, Njoku could be a low-end TE2 in fantasy drafts. Dallas, however, wouldn't be the most ideal landing spot as they've just given emerging tight end Blake Jarwin a four-year, $22 million contract. He'd likely be competing for snaps on the Cowboys.

Browns TE David Njoku has requested a trade, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Njoku's agent Drew Rosenhaus is also involved, saying "it is in David's best interest to find a new team at this time," despite the Browns wanting to keep him. Njoku's future was always in question after the Browns signed Austin Hooper to a four-year contract with $23 million guaranteed. Kevin Stefanski does have a history of using a high rate of two tight end sets, as the Vikings used 12 personnel on 34 percent of their snaps last season, the second highest mark in the league. Njoku, the No. 29 overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, played just four games last season due to injury and has totaled 96 receptions for 1,066 yards and nine touchdowns in 36 career contests. It frequently takes tight ends, even those selected in the first-round, time to make an impact in the NFL, as many hit their stride on their second team or second contract. Njoku might be next on that list. The Browns do have some insurance at the position after spending a fourth-round selection on TE Harrison Bryant.

The NFLPA continues to recommend no preseason games be played ahead of the 2020 season, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.

The union's call with players was held on Friday, outlining possible return and practice protocols. This includes testing, strength and conditioning, unpadded practices and then normal practices - four phases that could combine to last 48 days, which equals an entire preseason, leaving no time for exhibition games to be played ahead of Week 1. None of this is official until the league and NFLPA agree on a schedule.

Bengals CB Trae Waynes has yet to take his physical with the team.

Waynes agreed to a three-year, $42 million deal with the Bengals back in March but hasn't seen a penny of his $15 million signing bonus since he's been unable to complete his official physical with team doctors. He's since been avoiding any football drills, sticking to Zoom calls in order to avoid injuring himself before officially putting pen to paper. His conditioning for camp remains a question mark, but that's true for practically every player this offseason.
