2023 Player Outlook

2023 Recap: In the minors, Weimer displayed that there was plenty of pop in his bat, and he had more than enough speed to contribute on the base paths. Well, we saw that last year, as he posted a .362 SLG with 13 home runs and 11 stolen bases in 132 games for Milwaukee in 2023. However, unlike the majority of his time in the minors, his strikeout rate was rather high, and a .258 BABIP tanked his batting average to a measly .204. On top of that, his 68.1 percent contact rate is subpar, to say the least, and that 15 percent swinging strike rate from last season is worrisome.

2024 Outlook: He doesn't have a starting spot for the Brewers in 2024, but he'll be a stalwart in the lineup against left-handed pitching, as he posted an .815 OPS, .250 ISO, and 115 wRC+ against southpaws in 2023. Should he find every day at-bats, he'd be an intriguing option with his power-speed combo, but he's a liability in the batting average department.
