Dozier played in just 33 minor-league games in 2017 due to injury, and finished the campaign with a .243/.341/.441 slash line through 111 at-bats.
A strained oblique suffered in April, and a fractured wrist sustained in June cost Dozier significant playing time this year. The missed opportunities also contributed to the 26-year-old being left off the list of September callups. That said, the third baseman is expected to be right back in big-league camp come March, and assuming Mike Moustakas is lost in free agency, Dozier may even compete for an Opening Day roster spot in 2018.
