Eugenio Suarez went 2-for-3 with a run scored on Thursday in a Cactus League loss to the Royals.

Both hits were singles, and he came around to score in the first inning on a Mike Moustakas single. The 29-year-old third baseman hit 15 homers and drove in 38 games in his 57 games, but struggled to hit for average during the 2020 campaign. There's risk in Suarez because he's far from a lock to hit for average, but the power is going to be there, and he's worth considering in the first 75 picks in most formats.

Nick Pratto hit a pinch-hit homer on Thursday in a victory over the Reds in the Cactus League.

Pratto swatted his homer in the eighth inning off of Tony Santillan, a first-round pick who was once considered one of the best prospects at the position in baseball, Pratto has struggled mightily with the bat in the minors, but he's a good defender who also offers some quality speed. He's worth keeping an eye on in deeper dynasty formats.

R. O'Hearn - 1B

Ryan O'Hearn launched a solo homer while going 1-for-3 on Thursday in a 5-3 win over the Reds in the Cactus League.

O'Hearn's homer came off of Sonny Gray in the second inning. It's already the second homer of the season for the 27-year-old, who is slashing .286/.444/1/433 early on this spring. Power has never been a question for O'Hearn, but there's enough doubts pretty much everywhere else to leave him off fantasy radars at this point.

Ildemaro Vargas went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two runs scored on Thursday in a Cactus League win over the Dodgers.

Vargas is battling for a spot on the roster, and Thursday will definitely help in that cause. The 29-year-old struggled to a .196/.222/.314 line with the Diamondbacks and Cubs -- with a brief stop with the Twins that didn't see him appear in a game with Minnesota -- but his versatility gives him a good chance of being one of the final members of the Chicago roster to open the year.

Nico Hoerner went 3-for-3 with two runs scored and a steal on Thursday in a win over the Dodgers in the Cactus League.

Hoerner blistered an opposite-field single in the first, and he stole third base and came around to score on an error from Austin Barnes. The former first-round pick is off to a hot start in the Cactus League with five hits in his first six at-bats. While Hoerner struggled in his 2020 campaign with a .222/.312/.259 slash, the talent is there for him to be a productive player should he win a starting gig with the Cubs this spring. Based on what he's shown thus far, that seems likely.

Ian Happ went 1-for-2 with a homer, walk and two runs scored in a 7-0 rout of the Dodgers on Thursday in a Cactus League battle.

Happ socked a solo homer into (pretty close to) straight away center in the fourth inning. The 26-year-old has had an up-and-down career so far -- if it's possible for a 26-year-old to have an up-and-down career, anyway -- but did post a solid .258/.361/.505 line with 12 homers and 28 RBI in his 57 games for Chicago last year. He should hit at the top of the Chicago lineup this year, and while he's not a lock to hit for average, he can certainly help in the power categories while scoring a good number of runs.

Jose Siri went 2-for-3 with a homer and two RBI in a rout of the Cardinals on Thursday in Grapefruit League action.

Siri clobbered a solo shot in the eighth inning off of Giovanny Gallegos. The 25-year-old has put up impressive numbers in the minors at the lower levels, but has bounced around organizations over the last two years. It's unlikely he'll have a role with the Astros in 2021, but he's off to a nice start in the Grapefruit League.

Miles Straw went 1-for-2 with a run scored and a double on Thursday in a 14-0 Grapefruit League drubbing of the Cardinals.

Straw doubled to deep right in the first, and came around to score on a Michael Brantley sac fly. The speedy and versatile 26-year-old has been hitting at the top of the lineup, and with his wheels and a solid Houston lineup, he could be a fantasy steal in the late rounds for those who take the risk on him continuing to hit in that spot.
