2023 Recap: Control continues to be a problem for Abreu as he walked 3.88 batters per nine innings for the second straight year. The good news is that it didn't impact his 1.04 WHIP. That was offset by a 1.75 ERA and 12.50 strikeouts per nine innings although a 2.98 FIP paints a better picture of reality.
2024 Outlook: Abreu now moves a level further away from saves, but he will continue to be a strong source of both holds and strikeouts. Just don't draft him as handcuff to saves.
