Howard Bender
Ahkello Witherspoon Headshot

Witherspoon suffered an MCL sprain in Sunday's 26-16 victory over the Texans, but is not expected to face a lengthy absence,Matt Barrows of The Sacramento Bee reports.

With only three weeks remaining in the season, it remains to be seen if Witherspoon will be able to return. However, the fact that he is not expected to face a long term recovery is cause for optimism heading into the 2018 season. K'Waun Williams will presumably fill in at cornerback while Witherspoon is sidelined.

Trey Flowers Headshot

Flowers (ribs) is officially inactive for Monday night's game against the Dolphins.

Flowers was a limited participant in practice all week and was listed as questionable, but will miss his second consecutive game. The 24-year-old leads the Patriots with six sacks on the season, and the team will have to look beyond the usual suspects for production with leading tackler Kyle Van Noy (calf) also inactive Monday.
7:21 pm (EST)
Gordon Beckham (R) Headshot

Beckham agreed to a minor-league deal with the Mariners on Monday, SB Nation's Chris Cotillo reports.

The former top prospect continues to prolong his pro baseball career, although at this point he is very unlikely to ever regain a significant role on a big-league club. Last year he hit .262/.313/.393 with nine home runs in 83 games with Triple-A Tacoma. He figures to once again serve as organizational infield depth for the Mariners.
7:19 pm (EST)
Quandre Diggs Headshot

Diggs recorded seven tackles, one interception and one forced fumbled during Sunday's 24-21 victory over Tampa Bay.

Making his second consecutive start at strong safety, Diggs -- who's transitioning from nickel corner -- appeared more comfortable than he was last week. It wasn't a perfect outing, as Diggs was seemingly responsible for allowing a handful of Tampa Bay first downs through the air, but the Lions have to be encouraged by his progress thus far. Next up is a matchup with a Bears team that's averaged the 10th most rushing attempts per game in 2017, which could require Diggs to be even more active as a tackler.
7:19 pm (EST)
Bobby Wagner Headshot

Head coach Pete Carroll said Monday that Wagner's (hamstring) availability for Sunday's contest against the Rams won't be known "until this weekend," Brady Henderson of reports.

Wagner's hamstring has bothered him since the calendar turned to November, typically resulting in no practice until Friday, at the earliest. Considering Carroll's comment, Wagner may focus on his recovery all week in order to get the all-clear for Sunday's game. With fellow linebacker K.J. Wright beholden to the concussion protocol, the Seahawks may have to rely upon Michael Wilhoite, Terence Garvin and D.J. Alexander at the position in the short term.
7:18 pm (EST)
Davon Godchaux Headshot

The Dolphins have listed Godchaux (knee) as active for Monday's tilt against the Patriots.

Although he logged a full practice Saturday, Godchaux earned a questionable designation heading into Monday's game. The 23-year-old figures to resume his role as a reserve defensive tackle assuming he avoids any setbacks throughout the contest.
7:18 pm (EST)
Marquis Flowers Headshot

Flowers (knee) is officially active for Monday night's game against the Dolphins.

Flower was listed as questionable after being limited in practice throughout the week, but it seemed as though he was on track to play. The 25-year-old should see a heavy workload against the Dolphins on Monday with linebacker Kyle Van Noy (calf) inactive.
7:15 pm (EST)
Al Horford Headshot

Horford (knee) said he's playing in Monday's game against the Bulls, Abby Chin of NBC Sports reports.

Horford came into Monday with a questionable designation because of a right knee bruise, but after testing it out during pregame warmups, he feels good enough to give it a go. Unless otherwise reported, Horford should take on his typical workload, though coach Brad Stevens could keep a close eye on his minutes if the game gets out of hand early considering the Bulls' sit in the cellar of the Eastern Conference standings.
7:15 pm (EST)
Mike Gillislee Headshot

Gillislee (illness) is inactive for Monday night's game against the Dolphins.

With Gillislee inactive for the fifth straight game, Dion Lewis, Rex Burkhead and James White will head the Patriots' Week 14 backfield. Future game plans may lead to Gillislee's power running skills being needed down the stretch, but he's the odd man out for now.
7:15 pm (EST)
Cordrea Tankersley Headshot

Tankersley (ankle) is listed as inactive for Monday's game against the Patriots.

Tankersley was unable to practice throughout the week, ultimately earning a doubtful designation, so it is not surprising to see him unable to suit up Monday. The absence will mark his first since Week 3. While he is sidelined, Bobby McCain and Alterraun Verner figure to pick of the slack at cornerback.
