I’m going to give some overall thoughts on each game and where we could see things go tonight in terms of game script.

Tampa Bay Lightning at Columbus Blue Jackets

Things are looking horrible for the Lightning right now being down 0-3 and on the verge of cementing the greatest season that never was. Tampa Bay will be without defender Victor Hedman, which means Ryan McDonagh is on the second power-play. They also moved Nikita Kucherov up to the first forward line with Steven Stamkos with Anthony Cirelli at center. Cirelli is the auto salary saver for the night due to this new role. The fourth forward line of Yanni Gourde, J.T. Miller and Alex Killorn is interesting for GPPs if you want to pay up for another stack from another team.

Columbus is keeping things pretty much the same and I think we can firmly go to them again if there is any chance they come in at lower ownership tonight. The question you do have to ask is, should you load up on Tampa since they are one game from elimination? Do you fade them? Do we do a game stack? I would side with Tampa given this is the last chance they potentially save their season.

New York Islanders at Pittsburgh Penguins

The Penguins are also on the down and out train since they are one game from being swept. The Penguins and specifically Sidney Crosby have seeming gone invisible in this series and have only two goals as a team in the last two games. The Islanders are as good as they come at defense and goaltending, which can always put them in play for DFS. The win equity is kinda split for this game, despite the Penguins coming at -175 home favorites. The Islanders have taken control of the series in every conceivable way and the value from the Penguins skaters is limited given their higher price tags. If you really want to go to them, Jake Guentzel, Phil Kessel and Justin Schultz are my favorite options.

This is not to say go all in on the Islanders skaters since their production is coming from multiple lines and they generally don’t bring as much potential upside as some other options on this slate. Josh Bailey has a great price on DraftKings, along with Ryan Pulock, and Brock Nelson.

Winnipeg Jets at St. Louis Blues

This series has seen some wild games with seven or more goals in each of the last two games, where Jets scored six goals on their own in the most recent game. Pricing on DraftKings during the playoffs seems to be a bit lose for some teams and the Jets should be at the top of that list. They have no player over 6.6K, Blake Wheeler is the most expensive, and have several players in the 5K ranger who are too cheap. Patrik Laine, Kyle Connor, Kevin Hayes, and Nikola Ehlers to name a few. Connor Hellebuyck is very cheap on both sites and is only +128 on the road tonight.

Jordan Binnington will be in net for the Blues tonight and started the series off super strong, but has allowed nine goals in the last two games. The Jets haven’t been great on defense either and the Blues mid-tier options are truly interesting tonight. Brayden Schenn, Jaden Schwartz, Colton Parayko, Vince Dunn, and Tyler Bozak is where I’d look for solid prices along with solid production this series.

San Jose Sharks at Vegas Golden Knights

If there is any game on the slate that I’d pick to hit the over on 5.5 total, it would be this one. Vegas has scored five or more goals in two straight games and we’ve seen each game with seven total goals or more. The Sharks will be without Joe Thornton, who is suspended for one game, meaning Joe Pavelski will now be the center on the second forward line and Tomas Hertl is the center on the third forward line. The Sharks seem to be a step behind the Golden Knights in this series but they are down a game and need to step up their scoring and their defense to tie this back up. I would say any of the first three forward lines are in play for stacking since we should be looking at tournaments only at this point in this season and only four-game slates.

For the Knights, it’s all about Mark Stone. This man cannot be stopped and has six goals and eight total points in the three games this series. Play Mark Stone tonight. Play Mark Stone tonight. Simple as that. He is the most expensive skater for Vegas, but the second forward line and the second power-play is where you want to be stacking things up tonight. Love this spot for a game stack and most skaters should be viable tonight. William Karlsson, Reilly Smith, Paul Stastny, Jonathan Marchessault, Shea Theodore. Logan Couture, Kevin Labanc, Timo Meier, Evander Kane, Gustav Nyquist, Brent Burns, Erik Karlsson.
