Tampa Bay Rays @ Toronto Blue Jays

This game has the Blue Jays coming in as a -117 favorite, where Marcus Stroman is making his first start off the DL. Stroman hasn’t pitched since 8/17, where he gave up five earned runs in just four innings. He doesn’t have a ton of strikeout upside with his 17% strikeout rate, but the Rays have a 22.2% strikeout rate versus right-handed pitchers this season. On the other side, we have Ryne Stanek “starting” the game for the Rays, but will only pitch for an inning or two, as the Rays are doing their bullpen game. The over-under for this game is set at 8.5, which is somewhat high, so not sure the pitching options are in play here. The Blue Jays have an implied run total set at 4.39, while the Rays have an implied total set at 4.11, so look for the hitter here, rather than the pitchers. Billy McKinney .317 ISO. Randal Grichuk .278 ISO. Justin Smoak .247 ISO. TeOscar Hernandez .246 ISO.

Los Angeles Angels @ Texas Rangers

This game has an over-under set at 10.5, which is highest on the night slate, so likely looking for offense here rather than the pitchers. Speaking of pitchers, Matt Shoemaker will be starting for the Angels, who will be making his first start since March. Yes, he has been out that long and there is no reason you should be playing him in this favorable hitter’s park, after coming off multiple months on the DL. For the Rangers, Jeffery Springs will be opening for the Rangers, but Ariel Jurado will be coming in after him. Don’t look to play either of them, as both teams have implied run totals set over 5.00. We have a small five-game slate, but since this game has the highest over-under, this should have the highest percentage of ownership, but that is because the hitters are in a great spot. Mike Trout .272 ISO. Joey Gallo .272 ISO. Rougned Odor .228 ISO. Shin-Soo Choo .226 ISO. Eric Young .205 ISO.

New York Mets @ Los Angeles Dodgers

This game has the lowest over-under on the slate set at only 7.0, due to the fact we have two very good pitchers going. First, for the Mets, we have CY Young candidate Jacob deGrom going, who comes in with a 31.5% strikeout rate this season, which is among the best in the league. The Dodgers have a 22.5% strikeout rate this season vs right-handed pitchers, which should put deGrom in a great spot tonight to continue his strong trend. On the other side, Alex Wood is pitching for the Dodgers, who is up against the Mets, who have a 24.8% strikeout rate vs left-handed pitchers, which is second worst on the slate. This game is really all about the pitchers and not so much about the bats. deGrom is the best pitcher on the slate, but he is super expensive, so you will need to find some value elsewhere.

San Diego Padres @ Arizona Diamondbacks

This game is where you want a pitcher and hitters, but they are from the same team. That pitcher is Zack Godley , who is facing off against the Padres, who come in with a  25.8% strikeout rate vs right-handed pitchers this season, which is dead last on the slate. Godley has a 24% strikeout rate this year and has six or more strikeouts in nine straight starts, a level he should be able to reach tonight. The Diamondbacks come in with the highest implied run total on the entire day, not just the night slate, which is set at 5.71 runs. They will likely be one of the more popular options for offense outside of the Angels-Rangers games, so look here for some stacking options. Eduardo Escobar .281 ISO. David Peralta .244 ISO. A.J. Pollock .223 ISO. Paul Goldschmidt .218 ISO. Daniel Descalso .190 ISO.

Baltimore Orioles @ Seattle Mariners

The Mariners come in with an implied run total set at 5.14, which is surprising, considering this is a fantastic pitchers park, which should tell you enough about the Orioles pitching staff. Josh Rodgers is on the mound for the Orioles, who will be making his second start in the majors this year. He's only given up three earned runs in five innings in his first start, but you should look to side with the Seattle bats, over a very young and inexperienced pitcher. On the Mariners side of things, Erasmo Ramírez is on the mound for them tonight, who makes a nice salary relief option, due to his favorable matchup vs the Orioles, who have a 23.5% strikeout rate vs RHP. You can pair Ramirez with deGrom or Godley on DraftKings and you should be in a good spot to build some lineups. Nelson Cruz .292 ISO. Cedric Mullins .263 ISO. Mike Zunino .214 ISO. Kyle Seager .185 ISO. Trey Mancini .178 ISO. Joey Rickard .176 ISO. Mitch Haniger .172 ISO.
