Tampa Bay Rays

The Rays might seem like a bit of an off the board pick today for a stack, but we are dealing with a full slate of games, so plenty of viability to differentiate from the field and go for lower ownership. They are on the road in Minnesota, so a nice positive park shift for them, and they will be facing off against Jake Odorizzi , who has been very inconsistent this year. Odorizzi is giving up a .361 wOBA to lefties, a .328 wOBA to righties, 1.99 HR/9 to lefties and 0.96 HR/9 to righties. Certainly some upside here for the Rays since he is also a fly ball pitcher, so we want to target the Rays hitters who have the most power and home run potential. Also, a Rays stack isn’t expensive at all, with only two players over $4K on DraftKings and no players over $4K on FanDuel. Jakob Bauers .205 ISO. CJ Cron .196 ISO. Kevin Kiermaier .188 ISO. Wilson Ramos .169 ISO. Ji-Man Choi .282 ISO.

New York Mets

The Mets come in with an implied run total sitting at 4.13, which is right in the middle for teams on this slate. They are another stack which isn’t overly expensive and can be paired with another team, especially one from Coors Field. The Mets are up against Tanner Roark , who is giving up 1.33 HR/9 to lefties and 1.14 HR/9 to righties. This may not be the best hitter’s park in the league, but Roark has given up four or more earned runs in four of his last five starts, showing he is truly struggling right now. They have eight players on their roster who have ISO’s sitting at .175 or higher vs right-handed pitchers this season, so plenty of upside for them tonight. Brandon Nimmo .253 ISO. Wilmer Flores .226 ISO. Asdrubal Cabrera .212 ISO. Michael Conforto .211 ISO. Dominic Smith .192 ISO. José Bautista .179 ISO.

Arizona Diamondbacks

The Diamondbacks are on the road in a solid hitter’s park and up against Anibal Sánchez , who is a fly ball pitcher, giving up a 36% FB to lefties and a 43% FB to righties. Some nice home run potential for Arizona tonight, who has several hitters with power vs right-handed pitchers. Sanchez has looked decent over his last few starts, but you want to bet on the power hitters here tonight, which should provide plenty of upside. They are somewhat expensive, but it can be a nice pivot away from the Coors Field bats, Red Sox or Astros hitters, who should be more popular. AJ Pollock .233 ISO. David Peralta .224 ISO. Paul Goldschmidt .219 ISO. Jake Lamb .194 ISO. JR Murphy .180 ISO. Daniel Descalso .177 ISO. Steven Souza .174 ISO. Nick Ahmed .168 ISO.
