Houston Astros

The Astros are in a great spot today and should be a somewhat popular stacking option. I’m not saying they’re going to be the chalk, but even if they are, it’s ok to eat some chalk sometimes. I mean chalk in terms of DFS popularity, don’t eat real chalk. They are facing off against Brad Keller , who comes into this game with some decent numbers, but he only has two starts under his belt this season, the rest of his appearances are out of the bullpen. The Astros are super-hot right now, and they should be able to get past this young pitcher. There are eight players on the Astros who come in with an ISO higher than .190 this season vs right-handed pitchers. From high to low those players are Evan Gattis .237 ISO. Carlos Correa .224 ISO. Max Stassi .220 ISO. George Springer .212 ISO. Alex Bregman .199 ISO. Jake Marisnick .194 ISO. Marwin González .191 ISO. José Altuve .190 ISO. These players range from $4.4K to $2.1K on FanDuel and $5.1K to $2.7K on DraftKings. The options are plentiful here and you can pick and choose whoever will fit into your lineups.

Washington Nationals

The Nationals are up against Sam Gaviglio today, who is a bit prone to giving up home runs, even in his smaller sample size of only seven games this year. He is giving up 1.42 HR/9 to lefties and 1.40 HR/9 to righties. That has blow up potential written all over it for him, especially against some of the power hitters in this Nationals lineup. This game is in Toronto, which is a solid hitter’s park, especially if they open the roof, as they have been in recent days. Matt Adams missed yesterday’s game due to a hand injury and yet to be seen if he will be playing today. Besides Adams, there are plenty of other strong options to pick from. Obviously, things start with Bryce Harper and if you have the salary for him, you should be playing him when he is facing a right-handed pitcher, as he is today. Mark Reynolds should get the start at first if Adams is out and he has a .206 ISO vs RHP. Anthony Rendón has a .198 ISO. Daniel Murphy is clearly a much riskier option since he hasn’t shown much after coming back from his injury, so use him sparingly in your GPP lineup's.

Baltimore Orioles

Richards is showing to be a bit of a reverse splits pitcher this season. As a right-handed pitcher, he is giving up a .306 wOBA to lefties and a .342 wOBA to righties. He also gives up 1.56 HR/9 to righties this season, which is 1.00 higher than he has vs lefties. This means we want to target the right-handed hitter from Baltimore who has power upside. Manny Machado is the top player you want with a .239 ISO. Adam Jones isn’t that expensive and has a .201 ISO. Pedro Alvarez has a .183 ISO. Trey Mancini is cheap and comes in at .180. Jonathan Schoop has a .178 ISO. Mark Trumbo with a .168 ISO. Overall this stack isn’t very expensive and you can pair them with another full stack, and still have money for some pitchers.
