St. Louis Cardinals

The Cardinals are up against Jordan Lyles , who has given up 19 earned runs over his last four starts and is a perfect pitcher to stack against tonight. Lyles comes into this game giving up 1.40 HR/9 to lefties and 1.61 HR/9 to righties. Those numbers stem from the fact he has a hard contact rate sitting at 35% or higher vs lefties and righties. He is getting hit hard and the ball is going out, especially when he is on the road, as he is tonight. Really like the power upside the Cardinals have tonight and should be looking to have them in both cash games and GPPs. The Cardinals seem entirely too cheap on FanDuel today, as they have no player over $4K, while on DraftKings they have only two players over $4K. Here are some players who should be in a good spot tonight due to their ISO’s. Matt Carpenter .232 ISO. Dexter Fowler .197 ISO. Jose Martinez .191 ISO. Marcell Ozuna .191 ISO. Tommy Pham .185 ISO. Yadier Molina .147 ISO. It should be noted that Matt Carpenter is DRASTICALLY underpriced on DraftKings tonight. He has a six-game hitting streak going, with three multi-hit games, with two doubles and one home run. For some reason, Carpenter is cheaper than Tyler O’Neill, who is currently in Triple-A. Just play Carpenter today.

San Francisco Giants

The Giants are another team who are very cheap on FanDuel, as their most expensive player is $3.3K, while on DraftKings they are $4K. With prices that cheap on FanDuel, you can stack them with any other team and get up to any high priced pitcher you want. They are up against Wei-Yin Chen , who is giving up a 39% fly ball rate to lefties and a whopping 50% fly ball rate to righties. This all leads to 2.00 HR/9 to lefties and 2.05 HR/9 to righties. This game is in Miami, which isn’t the best hitter’s park, but Chen is just so bad with the fly balls, you can buy in low with these players, and have solid home run upside. Here are some hitters you should be looking at tonight if you are searching for some power. Nick Hundley .308 ISO. Andrew McCutchen .237 ISO. Buster Posey .203 ISO. Evan Longoria .201 ISO. Brandon Crawford .170 ISO. Alen Hanson .162 ISO. Again, they are all super cheap on FanDuel, and truly not that expensive on DraftKings, so you should have no issues fitting them into your lineups.

Cleveland Indians

I was big on the Indians yesterday and they put up nine runs, so let’s go right back to the well tonight. They come in with an implied run total sitting at 5.23, which is highest on the slate, so you will certainly want some exposure to them. They are facing off against Lucas Giolito , who has given up 48 earned runs in 61 innings this season. As you can guess, that is HORRIBLE! This is his stat line vs righties: .327 wOBA, 1.17 HR/9, 39% fly ball rate, and a 31% hard contact rate. Here is his line vs lefties, .409 wOBA, 1.19 HR/9, 44% fly ball rate, 33% hard contact rate. Those are some rough numbers, which means you want to stack against him whenever you can. This game is in Chicago, which is a very average hitter’s park, so nothing too much in the Indians’ favor tonight. The Indians have some expensive hitters compared to the other two teams, so getting up to a full stack might be tough, but these players can also be used in cash games tonight. The players you should be targeting are José Ramírez , Edwin Encarnación , Francisco Lindor , Michael Brantley , Yonder Alonso , Yan Gomes , or Jason Kipnis . It should be noted that Encarnacion and Kipnis were out of the lineup yesterday, so just be sure to confirm they are back today.
