“Three thousand miles just to get laid. I really respect that.”

Ok. So, I am obsessed with movies.  So what! So four years before John Cusack broke teenage girls’ hearts as Lloyd Dobbler holding a boom box over his head to win over Diane Court in Say Anything, he was crossing the country with his duffle bag to make it with The Sure Thing, played by Nicolette Sheridan.  The movie is about two college students Gib and Alison (Daphne Zuniga).  Gib has low expectations and just wants to have fun.  Alison has high expectations and plans every moment of her life.  They go MOBILE across the country and as 1980s movie go, they fall in love.

So why this movie?

We are updating our award-winning mobile alerts app for iOS and Android.  We want to set expectations for you.  While it will not be as perfectly planned as every day is for Alison, it will not be disorganized like Gib.  We have spent the last six months on the app to make sure that it reflects your news, articles and auto-syncs with your leagues for alerts.  We plan to keep dedicating time and efforts to this throughout the year.  It will replace our existing app so it is important for you know some things.

  • Previously our FantasyAlarm App and FantasyAlarm.com accounts were on separate systems.
  • If you ONLY had a FantasyAlarm App account, you will need to create a new account.
  • If you do have a FantasyAlarm.com account you can now simply just use it to sign in.
  • You will need to resync your leagues and/or add your players back to your tracker
  • There are some things that are missing that you would expect.
    • Lineups will be launched as soon as we can.  We know that is important.
    • DFS and Seasonal Playbook PRO content and features needs some work to get into the App and that is in V2.0

“How would you like to have a sexual encounter so intense it could conceivably change your political views?”

Well, to set expectations, it won’t transcend all sex you have ever had.  It will have all you need to keep close to your leagues and we will be adding just about every feature on the website including forums and chat by football season.  So stay tuned.  Please let us know what you want to see in the app and we will work on that. I am always available at rick@fantasyalarm.com.
