We have five games on Wednesday’s EPL DFS slate, and with one notable exception, we should have a lot of good games. I’m most looking forward to Chelsea vs. Wolves, and not just because one of my best bets came from that game. It is Chelsea’s first game since manager Frank Lampard was replaced with Thomas Tuchel. Tuchel was brought in to get the most from Chelsea’s expensive attackers, especially Timo Werner and Kai Havertz. While it is probably too soon to expect any huge changes from Tuchel, his presence could provide some needed confidence for a handful of underperforming players. If Chelsea can immediately turn things around, those players could win a lot of money for a lot of fantasy players. If Chelsea continues to struggle, those who are able to find value in the other games will have a leg up.

Goal Keepers
PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPGFD $FD FPPG
Nick PopeBRNAVL44009.48915.15
Pope had six saves and kept a clean sheet against Aston Villa last month, one of six times in his last 10 games with at least five saves. Burnley are playing better of late, and they're at home in this game, so I don't expect Villa to get quite that many shots on goal. That being said, Villa have struggled to finish more often than not this season, and Pope should get at least a few saves as well as a good shot at a clean sheet and possibly even a win.
Rui PatricioWOLCHE40003.8976.50
Chelsea has four goals on 21 shots on target in their last five games. I think they will turn it around sooner than later under their new manager, but considering he literally just got there on Tuesday, I'm willing to take a chance that Patricio collects a handful of saves without allowing too many goals.
Robert SanchezBHAFUL51005.07118.13
I think Sanchez has looked good since taking over at keeper, while Fulham have managed just four goals in their last eight games. This is risky, since Sanchez could easily allow one goal on one shot on target, but no one would be surprised if he gets a win and a clean sheet.
David de GeaMUNSHU59006.51410.53
I think if I'm going to pay up for a keeper, I'm going all the way to the top. Sheffield have scored the fewest goals in the league this season, while United have conceded just four goals in their last six games. At the very least, this should be an easy win at home, with a good shot at a clean sheet as well.
Forwards
PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPGFD $FD FPPG
Edinson CavaniMUNSHU73007.881712.02
Cavani leads United with two headed goals despite only starting four games this season. He scored at Fulham Wednesday and he is +108 to score in this game, which makes him a nice GPP play on both sites.
Pedro NetoWOLCHE790014.771815.79
Neto has 26 crosses and nine chances created in his last two games. Chelsea have conceded nine goals in their last five games, and Neto should be heavily involved in the attack yet again.
Dominic Calvert-LewinEVELEI680013.191821.59
No team has allowed more shots from dead ball passes than Leicester. Only four players have more headed shots than Calvert-Lewin, and nobody has as many headed goals. Calvert-Lewin struggled with Lucas Digne out, but now that Digne is back, Calvert-Lewin is a bargain on DraftKings and a strong GPP play on FanDuel.
Kelechi IheanachoLEIEVE54001.53172.46
He created two chances in the only game Jamie Vardy missed this season, and he might be your best bet if you are looking for a cheap forward on DraftKings.
Mason GreenwoodMUNSHU60004.57125.33
The magic he found during project restart has completely abandoned him, but no one would be shocked if he rediscovered it at home against Sheffield. We're hoping for a 5-0 in which everyone is involved, much like City enjoyed against West Brom on Tuesday. That being said, I prefer Pogba for cash games, even on FanDuel.
PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPGFD $FD FPPG
Timo WernerCHEWOL66008.71912.58
Wolves have allowed two goals per game in their last six games, and Chelsea brought in a German-speaking manager to try to get the most out of Werner and Kai Havertz. I don't know that i want to pay up for him on FanDuel, though he coulud be a nice GPP differential. He is certainly worth a shot in tournaments on DraftKings, where his price has plummeted in the last month.
Midfielders
PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPGFD $FD FPPG
James RodriguezEVELEI860015.761619.13
Unlike the other top attackers on the slate, Rodriguez is eligible at forward on DraftKings. I don't love the matchup,
Ademola LookmanFULBHA720011.91517.85
The thing I love about Lookman is that he can produce for fantasy in a variet of different ways. He had three shots on goal gainst Manchester United. He created three chances against Tottenham and Southampton. In the game before that, he had seven crosses against Newcastle. Brighton has conceded the sixth-most goals this season, so I expect Lookman to be productive, one way or another.
Harvey BarnesLEIEVE710010.481515.01
I am slightly concerned that Barnes will not be nearly as effective without Jamie Vardy making runs and drawing defensive attention. At the same time, I think Everton could be susceptible to Leciester's counterattacks, and Barnes is the most likely player to take advantage. He's also probably too cheap on FanDuel, where he is averaging 21.4 fantasy points in his last five games.
Bruno FernandesMUNSHU1020021.712331.72
Fernandes has at least 12 DK fantasy points in nine of his last 10 games, and he's facing the worst team in the league at home. His floor is as high as anybody's, and it would be shocking if he isn't involved in at least a couple of goals Wednesday.
Paul PogbaMUNSHU60007.521512.99
Pogba has been great of late, with two goals on nine shots (four on goal) with five chances created and four crosses in his last four games. We're likely going to want as many United attackers in our lineup as we can get, and Pogba is one of the cheapest we will find.
MidfieldersTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPGFD $FD FPPG
James MaddisonLEIEVE950014.521816.48
Maddison remains too cheap on FanDuel, and he is one of the safest players on DraftKings. He could take a hit with Jamie Vardy out, but he should be less dependent on Vardy than his attacking teammates. There is a chance Maddison could be on penalties with Vardy out, though Leicester has several players who could be in the mix.
Mason MountCHEWOL850013.11619.10
Mount is the one Chelsea player who could actually miss Frank Lampard. Mount has at least three chances created in six consecutive games, and while he is probably too good to see his role reduced much, he feels riskier than he was last week.
Defenders
PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPGFD $FD FPPG
Harry MaguireMUNSHU41005.651313.93
No team has allowed more dead ball passes that lead to a shot than Sheffield, and only Liverpool has allowed more clearances to opponents. Harry Maguire leads his team with 12 headed shot attempts and 70 clearances. He is a strong FD play in all formats, and he is a GPP play on DK even though he is a bit expensive.
Seamus ColemanEVELEI48004.8798.84
He is a lot cheaper than Lucas Digne, and while I would have to have Digne, it's really difficult to afford him on DraftKings. Colemand has at least 7.4 DK fantasy points in four straight starts.
James TarkowskiBRNAVL27004.471316.33
Only three teams have allowed more clearances than Villa this season, and he always has an outside shot of scoring from a set piece as well.
Matt TargettAVLBRN46006.86913.34
No team has allowed more crosses than Burnley, and Targett has at least two crosses in three of his last four games. He is a nice alternative if you cannot afford Matthew Cash.
Joel VeltmanBHAFUL47005.4799.75
He struggled against City but if you throw that out he has 15 crosses in his last four games. Fulham has 46.3 percent of possession on the season, so Veltman should have plenty of opportunities to get forward.
PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPGFD $FD FPPG
Joe BryanFULBHA42003.9374.87
He sent in four crosses against United, and while that didn't translate to fantasy points, I suspect it will in a much better matchup. Bryan leads Fulham with 5.40 crosses per start, one more than Kenny Tete.
Matthew LowtonBRNAVL35005.78812.11
Lowton didn't have a single cross against Liverpool but he had 14 in the three games before that. Burnley look a lot more dangerous of late and Lowton is playing a part in that despite a very modest price.
Ben ChilwellCHEWOL630013.211015.77
Chilwell is as safe as they come, with at least five crosses in four straight premier league games. If Chelsea's attack can finally start generating some goals, perhaps Chilwell will have some assits to show for all of those crosses.
Joachim AndersenFULBHA25002.41113.31
Andersen has at least nine clearances in four of his last six games. Only five teams have allowed more clearances than Brighton this season.
