I hope you enjoyed your break from EPL DFS, because we are about to get a lot of games over a short period of time, barring more postponements due to covid. Tuesday’s slate features a Sheffield side that has been ravaged by covid the last couple of weeks, and while I’m not sure we should be in a hurry to play anyone from that team regardless of their lineup, I could be a lot more interested in Newcastle players depending on what Sheffield’s lineup looks like.

As always, the lineups below are examples of lineups you can make using the players in the Playbook and are not for plug and play.

Goal Keepers
PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPGFD $FD FPPG
Nick PopeBRNMUN38009.03814.54
Pope is averaging the most FPPG of any keeper on the slate, but he costs the least. He probably won't get a win or a clean sheet, but he should get plenty of saves. It helps that he is at home, though there is obviously some risk Pope allows four goals.
Karl DarlowNEWSHU  1012.00
Martin Dubravka started Saturday in the FA Cup, and I would like him even better than Darlow because he is $1 cheaper. Darlow is a bit expensive considering Sheffield are favored at home, but Sheffield have also scored the fewest goals in the league.
Aaron RamsdaleSHUNEW  86.32
Sheffield are +145 at home, and only four teams have scored fewer goals than Newcastle this season. Sheffield have 3.26 xCS this season, so Ramsdale is probably due to get his first.
David de GeaMUNBRN58005.56149.04
If you can save enough money elsewhere, de Gea has the best chance at a win and a decent chance at a clean sheet. Only Sheffield have scored fewer goals than Burnley this season.
Forwards
PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPGFD $FD FPPG
Cenk TosunEVEWOL4200-0.16100.60
I had Dominic Calvert-Lewin in this space, especially if Lucas Digne starts, but Calvert-Lewin has been ruled out. Tosun is the favorite to replace Calvert-Lewin up top, and he would be the ideal budget forward to allow us to afford Bruno Fernandes.
Ashley BarnesBRNMUN51006.15139.14
Barnes has looked the most dangerous of the Burnley attackers of late, though that may be damning with faint praise. United have been more stingy of late but they have conceded 24 goals in 16 games.
Midfielders
PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPGFD $FD FPPG
John LundstramSHUNEW  108.41
Sheffield's attack has been lost without him, and while he hasn't been great himself, he is cheap and has a nice matchup. Only five teams have conceded more goals per game than Newcastle.
Robbie BradyBRNMUN44006.481110.16
I would like it better if Johann Berg Gudmundsson started for Brady, since he is cheaper and forward-eligible, but Brady is probably safer, with at least 5.1 DK fantasy points in every start this season.
Bruno FernandesMUNBRN1180023.192334.47
He is far and away the best attacker on the slate, but affording him will be challenging. If we get any cheap surprise starters, we will probably use them to fit Fernandes in our rosters.
Joao MoutinhoWOLEVE53005.62139.91
He has 17 crosses and five chances created in his last four games, and if any of those ever lead to a goal, he will provide pretty nice value. As it is, his floor is high on both sites.
RicharlisonEVEWOL850012.041816.53
He has been far more consistent of late, especially when James Rodriguez plays, but I still think he's a GPP-only play.
MidfieldersTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPGFD $FD FPPG
James RodriguezEVEWOL1050016.411720.20
He had five crosses in 26 minutes against West Ham in his first EPL action in nearly a month. Prior to his injury, he had double-digit fantasy points on DraftKings in three straight games. He isn't quite as safe as Bruno Fernandes, but he is far too cheap on FanDuel.
Ruben NevesWOLEVE62006.461613.28
It is hard to understand how Neves remains so cheap after scoring at least 21 FD fantasy points in four straight games. He is safe on DraftKings as well, though his lack of crosses hurts him in that format.
