Wednesday’s WNBA DFS slate was dominated by the returns of Stefanie Dolson and Sue Bird. Similarly, Thursday’s slate is notable for the return of Odyssey Sims and possibly Shenise Johnson. We don’t really know how much or how well Sims will play, though the fact she had to miss two games for suspension may actually help her hit the ground running. Sims isn’t available on DraftKings and is the most expensive guard on FanDuel, so we’re not playing her regardless. With Sims and possibly Johnson back, however, that means we probably don’t want to pay up for Crystal Dangerfield or Lexie Brown. I still think we have a chance to get good fantasy production from Minnesota’s backcourt this season, but I think we need to see how the minutes and usage shakes out before we can invest.

As always, the lineups below are examples of lineups you can make using the players in the Playbook and are not for plug and play.

Guards

Shey PeddyWASLA37008.4138008.46
Peddy played 15 minutes and scored 15.75 fantasy points Monday. If Kiara Leslie cannot go, Peddy could play 20+ minutes for the first time this season.
Ariel AtkinsWASLA760022.66510022.05
Atkins is shooting 29.7 percent in her last four games. She scored at least 28 fantasy points in each of her three games before that, and at her price, I'm willing to take a shot that she finally starts hitting some shots.
Brittney SykesLAWAS630015.91420015.66
Tierra Ruffin-Pratt is doubtful, which means Sykes will likely start for the second consecutive game. She is a solid cash play if she starts, but she hasn't shown a high ceiling this season.
Layshia ClarendonNYIND850025.12560023.29
No team has allowed more points in the paint than the Fever this season, and Clarendon leads the Liberty in points in the paint. When she's getting to the rim, she is also adept at drawing fouls and finding open shooters.
Julie AllemandINDNY820024.62530024.13
The Liberty are 10th in fantasy points allowed to guards, and while Indiana has three guards capable of returning value, Allemand is the safest. After a very slow start in her first two WNBA games, Allemand is averaging 28.5 fantasy points over her last six games.

Tianna HawkinsWASLA730017.4440017.58
Hawkins got the start Monday with Aerial Powers out and played a season-high 24 minutes. She's averaging 23 minutes and 32.25 fantasy points in her last two games, and she should be safe with Powers out again.
Myisha Hines-AllenWASLA940031.59670030.74
After seeing her minutes decrease in three consecutive games, Hines-Allen played a game-high 33 minutes, six more than any of her teammates. The increased playing time, along with her price drop, makes her a strong DFS play even with Tianna Hawkins taking on a bigger role.
Sylvia FowlesMINLV980037.33730037.43
No team has allowed more fantasy points to opposing forwards than the Aces, and Syl is averaging 37.7 fantasy points in her last three games.
Amanda Zahui BNYIND960029.19660028.17
Amanda Zahui B is shooting 44.2 percent on threes and 38.5 percent on twos. And she has attempted nearly twice as many threes as twos. Nothing about that seems sustainable, but this game has the highest total of the day, and we know Zahui B will play heavy minutes and likely grab a bunch of rebounds.
 LVMIN1120039.22790039.39
Wilson had 34.25 fantasy points her last time out despite shooting 5-17 from the field. She is shooting 47.3 percent on the season, but it's nice knowing she will produce for fantasy even when the shots aren't falling.

Dearica HambyLVMIN840027.78600026.96
Hamby is as safe as it gets, especially at her current price. She has at least 22.75 fantasy points in five straight games.
Angel McCoughtryLVMIN860027.09650026.85
While Wilson and Hamby are the rocks in the Las Vegas frontcourt, Angel McCoughtry is the wild card. She has topped 38 fantasy points twice this season, and not many players in her price range have that kind of upside. That being said, she is not
