I think the worst part about Jason Day withdrawing during the first round of the Arnold Palmer Invitational is that he isn’t even available this week to choose in a PrizePicks entry, so I can’t redeem myself for picking the Over last week. Day was the only pick in my four-pick entry that I got wrong. Also, my top three NBA picks were all correct, so hopefully you played those and ignored the PGA.

Of course, one of the great things about PrizePicks is you can play multiple sports in one entry or simply focus on your sport of choice. Each week, we’re making four NBA picks and four PGA picks, in order from most confident to least confident. This week, I’m playing a four-pick entry with my top two golfers and top two NBA picks. I’m also strongly considering three-pick entries with my top three NBA picks and my top three PGA picks. Just keep in mind that any entry with a golfer must contain two golfers, with at least one Over and one Under.

Mike Conley @ Atlanta Hawks

Projected Fantasy Points: 43.3

OVER

No team in the NBA has allowed more fantasy points to oppsoing point guards than the Hawks this season. In his only game against Atlanta this season, all the way back in October, Conley had 37.3 fantasy points in 25 minutes. He has played at least 32 minutes in three straight games, going over 47 fantasy points in each.

Andre Drummond

Projected Fantasy Points: 46.9

UNDER

Drummond has never been good against Hassan Whiteside . In their only full game head-to-head this season (Drummond left their second contest after seven minutes), Drummond managed just 41.8 fantasy points despite blocking four shots. Drummond is riding high after dominating the Nets, Bulls (twice) and Karl-Anthony Towns , who he has owned throughout his career. This is the game he comes back down to earth.

Phil Mickelson

Projected Fantasy Points: 17.5

UNDER

The hardest part of making these PGA picks every week is choosing two players to go Under their projections. When you are choosing from among the best players in an event with an incredibly strong field, it’s difficult to be too negative about anyone. That being said, this could get ugly for Phil. He has finished no better than 41st in any of his last five tries at TPC Sawgrass including four missed cuts. He has missed two cuts in his last five starts and has finished 37th or worse in three straight starts.

Francesco Molinari

Projected Fantasy Points: 17.5

OVER

This would probably be an easy call even if Molinari wasn’t coming off a win last week at the Arnold Palmer Invitational. Molinari has finished seventh or better in three of his last four starts at The PLAYERS, and he has arguably played the best golf of anyone on the planet in the past 12 months. He has rebounded nicely after looking worn out in the fall, and I certainly wouldn’t want to bet against him.

Tiger Woods

Projected Fantasy Points: 18.5

UNDER

Tiger says his neck is fine and he is ready to go, but I’m not sure I trust him. He could easily pull a Jason Day, or simply slog through the first round. Even when he is healthy Tiger has struggled in opening rounds. Tiger’s 70.33 Round 1 Scoring Average would be tied for 93 if he had played enough rounds to qualify. Tiger is certainly capable of keeping the ball in the fairway (if he doesn’t have to hit driver) and posting a solid round, but I doubt he makes enough birdies to get to 18.5 fantasy points.

John Collins vs. Memphis Grizzlies

Projected Fantasy Points: 38.0

OVER

In his first game back after missing three games with an illness, John Collins scored 32.0 fantasy points on a 25-minute limit. In the next two games, with a 30-minute limit, Collins scored 62.8 and 46.0 fantasy points. After two days of rest, the limit is presumably off, the sky is the limit. The Grizzlies are allowing the ninth most fantasy points to opposing power forwards this season.

Paul Casey

Projected Fantasy Points: 17.5

OVER

Casey has been on point of late, finishing second or third in three of his last four tournaments. He has finished 22nd and 23rd in his last two starts here, and he ranks 17th in Par 4 Scoring, 13th in Par 5 Scoring and 18th in Strokes Gained: Approach.

Nikola Vucevic at Washington Wizards

Projected Fantasy Points: 50.0

UNDER

Vuc has failed to go over 50 fantasy points in all three games against Washington this season. In fact, he only came close once. March has been his best month of the season by far, and he has still only topped 50 fantasy points in three of his five games.
