One thing both slates have in common Saturday is a lack of great cheap options. You can find a few players here and there to save some money on, especially at catcher and in the outfield, but overall finding cheap hitting is probably going to be tough. You may have to pay especially close attention to the lineups and look for any bench players getting a surprise start near the top of the lineup.

EARLY

J.T. Realmuto is 7-for-18 over his current four-game hitting streak, and he has an excellent chance to extend the streak against journeyman Lucas Harrell.

Cameron Rupp is 12-for-32 over his eight-game hitting streak, and he has a .852 OPS against lefties this season. Carlos Ruiz is cheaper on FanDuel and DraftKings and has a .869 OPS against lefties. Whichever catcher starts for Philadelphia will make an excellent play.

James McCann has a .849 OPS against left-handed pitchers this season. Jarrod Saltalamacchia would be a good play if he starts instead, though he costs more.

LATE

Buster Posey is 10-for-31 against Patrick Corbin and 9-for-24 over the last week.

Tucker Barnhart is 8-for-19 over the last week, and he is a fine play if you want a cheap alternative at catcher.

Christian Vazquez has a .777 OPS against lefties this season, and he is 4-for-10 over his last four games.

EARLY

Edwin Encarnacion is 8-for-21 with two home runs over the last week, and his price is really reasonable on FanDuel and DraftKings.

Victor Martinez is 9-for-22 with four home runs, seven runs and 11 RBI during his five-game hitting streak, and he has a .950 OPS against left-handed pitchers this season.

Eric Hosmer is a bit overpriced on DraftKings, but it is easy to see why. He is 9-for-29 over the last week, and he has a .882 OPS against right-handed pitchers.

LATE

Albert Pujols is 6-for-15 with a home run against Clay Buchholz and 11-for-24 over the last seven days.

C.J. Cron is your best option if you want to go cheaper at first base. He is 7-for-18 over his four-game hitting streak.

Chris Davis is 9-for-28 with four home runs over the last week. He has a .831 OPS against lefties, and left-handed batters have a .394 wOBA against James Paxton.

EARLY

Devon Travis is 13-for-35 with two home runs over his eight-game hitting streak, and he should bat second for a Toronto team that could score a lot of runs against Cleveland’s emergency starter.

Brian Dozier is the hottest second baseman in baseball, and while he costs a lot, I suspect he will be worth it. Dozier is 10-for-22 with five home runs over the last week, and Chi Chi Gonzalez has been pretty terrible this season.

Derek Dietrich leads the Marlins with a .394 wOBA against right-handed pitchers, and he is 7-for-18 with a home run over the last week.

LATE

Jonathan Schoop is 13-for-29 over the last week, and right-handed batters have a .345 wOBA against Paxton this season.

Ben Zobrist is 8-for-14 with four home runs against Bartolo Colon.

Daniel Murphy is 8-for-20 with two home runs and seven RBI over his last five games.

Martin Prado is 11-for-28 over the last week, and his price is especially nice on FantasyAces.

LATE

Yangervis Solarte is 11-for-25 over his current seven-game hitting streak, and left-handed batters have a .358 wOBA against Ivan Nova.

Manny Machado is 13-for-31 over the last week, he has a 1.025 OPS against lefties this season, and he is 2-for-2 in his career against James Paxton.

EARLY

Lonnie Chisenhall is 14-for-25 with three home runs and seven RBI during his five-game hitting streak, and he has a .863 OPS against right-handed pitchers.

Ian Desmond is 10-for-29 with three home runs over the last week. He has a .852 OPS against right-handed pitchers this season, and Tyler Duffey has allowed a .379 wOBA to right-handed batters.

Cameron Maybin has a 1.065 OPS against lefties this season, and he is 14-for-28 with seven runs and nine RBI over his seven-game hitting streak.

I pretty much like the entire Tampa Bay outfield, depending on who plays. Desmond Jennings is 6-for-19 with two home runs over the last week and 4-for-11 with two home runs against Justin Verlander. Jennings sat Friday, but he is an excellent play if he is back in the lineup Saturday.

Oswaldo Arcia is 9-for-19 with a home run over his last five games, while Corey Dickerson is 3-for-7 since returning from a sore thumb.

Christian Yelich is 9-for-26 over the last week and has a .908 OPS against right-handed pitchers, and he is far cheaper than teammate Marcell Ozuna.

J.B. Shuck is 8-for-21 with two home runs and a stolen base in the last week, and he is solid if you need a cheap play in the early slate.

LATE

Jason Heyward is 7-for-17 with a home run and a stolen base against Bartolo Colon. Heyward is 6-for-20 over his last five games.

Ben Revere is 9-for-28 with three stolen bases over the last week.

Bryce Harper has reached base at least twice in four consecutive games, and now may be a good time to play him before he really heats up.

Mike Trout is 6-for-16 with two home runs against Clay Buchholz and 14-for-24 with three home runs and two stolen bases over the last week.

Daniel Nava is 5-for-12 over his last three games, and he has batted fifth and fourth in his last two. Left-handed batters have a .401 wOBA against Clay Buchholz this season, and Nava will be an excellent play if he is up in the order again.

Sean Rodriguez is 8-for-19 with five runs and eight RBI over his last nine games, and he has a .929 OPS against lefties this season.

Coco Crisp is 13-for-32 with 11 runs and 11 RBI over his eight-game hitting streak.

Adam Jones is 12-for-29 with two home runs over the last week.

Seth Smith is 6-for-12 with two home runs over his last three games.

Angel Pagan is 9-for-31 in his career against Patrick Corbin and 10-for-29 over the last week.
