Daily Fantasy Basketball Du-Rant

The Daily Fantasy Basketball Du-Rant provides you daily recommendations in a four tiered format, with specific targets for GPP tournaments (Guaranteed Prize Payout tournaments) and separate players that may be more geared towards Double Up (DU) contests. It does not mean they are only worth playing in said format, just that I like them in that type of format a little more. (All prices are according to DraftStreet).

A-All Star priced players that should put up All Star stats today (target 35+ FP, $16,000-on up).

GPP

Marc Gasol (14.4%) the impression I have been getting from many I talk to is that they are still hesitant to own Gasol, which should help keep his ownership down across DFS tonight. Gasol has a favorable matchup against the Kevin Garnett-less Nets this evening and he has exceeded 35 FP in three of his last four games.

DU

DeMarcus Cousins (19.2%) facing a Bucks team that as we all know are turrible as they are allowing the fifth most fantasy points to opposing centers over the last 15 days, the third highest rebounding rate to opponents on the season, and opponents are shooting 50.5% from the field on them for the season (fourth highest in the league).

B-rated Ballers: Big name players with big games, but not as high of a price tag as the top five or so priced players at each position (around 30 FP, $13,000-$16,000).

GPP

Arron Afflalo (12.5%) I normally shy away from players returning from injury, (and it seems as many owners do the same making Afflalo a more appealing GPP option), but the performances that Ty Lawson and Dion Waiters put up recently in their first game back as me re-evaluating this proclivity of mine. I also see that the Magic will need to rely heavily on Afflalo this evening against James Harden, as I said about him yesterday, plays defense like a matador.

DU

Kyle Korver (11.1%) see today’s Daily Fantasy Death Match in our Daily Dribble article (click on blue for link and to also find out how to enter our free Fan vs Machine draft tonight).

Ersan Ilyasova (10.3%) is another player owners have little confidence, but whom has stepped up his game of late without too much of an increase in his salary. Ilyasova is coming off one of his best performances of these season (41-plus FP) and gets an even more favorable matchup against a Sacramento team that plays defense more like a bunch of jesters then kings.

C-as in players that COULD be in line to provide you with good to great value in the mid-tier price range (target 25+ FP, $8,000-$13,000).

GPP

Trevor Booker (8.9%) should get plenty of minutes with Seraphin and Nene out and he has exceeded 20-plus fantasy points over his last two games.

DU

D.J. Augustin (8.4%) has seen his price drop recently, but he looks like he may be back in a groove again as he has scored 16 and 23 points in his last two games and gets a Pistons teams that is near the top five worst in defending the point guard position on the season.

D-Discounted Dandies: Players on the cheap whose production may exceed what their discounted price tag suggests. (Double Digit Fantasy Production, $3,500-$8,000).

GPP

Jeff Adrien (6.7%) is quietly having a positive impact since joining his new team. Adrien finished with eight points, 11 rebounds, a block and a steal in 20 minutes of the loss to the Jazz. Adrien has now reached double-digit rebounds in four of his first five games with his new team and is averaging 5.8 points, 9.6 rebounds, and an assist in 19.6 minutes per game over that span. He has a steal and a block in each of his last two games.

DU

Amar’e Stoudemire (6.5%) has scored 20-plus fantasy points in each of his last two games and played 32 minutes in his last game, with a day of rest in-between tonight’s game, so he could see similar minutes tonight.

Best of Luck tonight and don’t be afraid to go rouge and post your questions in the comments section and/or send me a tweet @FantasyNomad. Also, be sure to check out this morning's Daily Dribble for more DFS insight.
