Daily Fantasy Basketball Du-Rant

The Daily Fantasy Basketball Du-Rant provides you daily recommendations in a four tiered format, with specific targets for GPP tournaments (Guaranteed Prize Payout tournaments) and separate players that may be more geared towards Double Up (DU) contests. It does not mean they are only worth playing in said format, just that I like them in that type of format a little more.

Daily Dandies

For those of you checking out my recommendations for the first time, I group the players in A,B,C,D Tiers as a play on the old A,B,C,D basketball camps and as an easy way to distinguish player tiers. (All prices are according to Draft Street). If you have any specific questions post them in the comments section and I will answer them asap or send me a tweet by clicking on my twitter handle at the top of this article. To see who is starting each night visit our NBA Lineups Page.

A-All Star priced players that should put up All Star stats today (target 35+ FP, $15,000-on up).

GPP

Forward Blake Griffin (19.3%) is averaging about 41 FP over his last six games and 41 is the total he reached the last time he played the Bobcats.

DU

Guard John Wall (17%) will be facing a Celtics backcourt that will be without both Rajon Rando and Avery Bradley. The Celtics will instead roll with the mighty little man Phil Pressey and a recent 10-day signee in Chris Johnson.

B-rated Ballers: Big name players with big games, but not as high of a price tag as the top five or so priced players at each position (around 30 FP, $12,000-$15,000).

GPP

Guard D.J. Augustin (14.3%) Kirk Hinrich is out for about a week with a hamstring injury, so Augustin will move into the starting lineup versus the Cavs who are giving up the sixth most FP to opposing point guards over the last 15 days

DU

Center Tyson Chandler (13.5%) opponents are rebounding at a 47% clip on the season against the 76ers, which is second worst in the league behind the Lakers, and Chandler has hit the boards hard of late grabbing 33 in his last three games combined.

C-as in players that COULD be in line to provide you with good to great value in the mid-tier price range (target 25+ FP, $8,000-$12,000).

GPP

Forward Taj Gibson (9.9%) Carlos Boozer has been ruled out for tonight’s game against the Cavs. Gibby averages 9.7 ppg, 7.8 rpg, and 1.5 blocks in 97 career starts and has been even better this season with 16.7 ppg, 10.7 rbg, and more than a block per game in three starts. Cavs own the worst defensive efficiency rating versus power forwards this season.

Guard Ramon Sessions (9.3%) price tag is still very reasonable and will get the start agian for the Bobcats with Kemba Walker out with an ankle injury. Sessions posted 25 FP in his start on Monday and will be facing a banged up Darren Collison (sprained left big toe).

DU

Center Kris Humphries (11.3%) is cheaper than Jared Sulliner by about 1.4K and Hump has out produced him by over 20 FP the last two games.

D-Discounted Dandies: Players on the cheap whose production may exceed what their discounted price tag suggests. (Double Digit Fantasy Production, $3,500-$8,000).

GPP

Center Kevin Seraphin (7%) finished with 16 points, seven rebounds and a block in place of Trevor Booker on Monday. Booker is a game-time decision with a sore ankle.

DU

Guard Phil Pressey (7.6%) will get the start tonight in place  Rajon Rondo who has been given the night off.

Best of Luck tonight, and for you season long players looking for some help check out this week's Fantasy Basketball Wire Wire Pickups and if you have any questions go rouge and post them in the comments section and/or send me a tweet.
