Welcome to the DFS MLB Playbook for Thursday, June 29th

Today’s action is a split slate, with 5 games during the day and 8 making up the main evening slate. Several top notch pitchers to the mound today, and as of this writing, I believe it’s going to be hard to avoid spending up for pitchers and trying to find as much value as possible for hitters. Fanduel has done a decent job of reducing prices to allow for this, and we’ll monitor the lineups as they come out to provide our best examples for the main slate action. As usual, look for those a few hours before first pitch.

Here are a list of some of the splits we like and may be targeting for value today:

Atlanta LHB against Dinelson Lamet - 1.148 OPS in 65 AB

Toronto LHB against Ubaldo Jimenez - 1.065 OPS in 131 AB

Yankees against James Shields - LHB preferred, but 1.095 OPS against at home this year

Dodgers LHB against JC Ramirez - .961 OPS in 167 AB

There is a little weather risk in the northern midwest, but nothing that really looks like a significant threat to cancellations. The biggest risks at the moment are to Detroit (hosting Kansas City) and the White Sox (hosting the Yankees). Cleveland/Texas may have a delay this afternoon as well, so keep an eye on that Weather Center for all of the updates on the weather front.
