Let’s not lose sight of how important it is to find the right stacks combinations to win in DFS baseball. It is equally as important to identify the stacks that the majority of players aren’t on, as well. So, how can we accomplish this feat? In today’s DFS MLB Stacks article, we will go ahead and realize that there will be plenty of Coors stacks today full of Indians (vs. Antonio Senzatela, highest implied run total at 5.96) and Rockies (vs. Mike Clevinger). While we can’t fully disagree with this strategy, we’ll do our best to get a bit more creative to help give us an edge in those GPP’s tonight.

So, here are my favorite DFS MLB stacks for June 6th:

Milwaukee Brewers

The Brewers were shot out of a cannon to start the season and even though they’ve since cooled down a bit, this can still be a scary lineup - just ask Jacob deGrom. Put them at home in Miller Park with the 5th highest runs scored average this year at 10.39 and you have yourself a stackable lineup. Throw in the matchup with Matt Cain and things get a bit more interesting. You see, Cain has followed up a really poor start with a solid last month. He’s allowed two or fewer earned runs in four of his last five starts. However, he’s been fortunate during that time, pitching out of trouble after giving up a lot of hits and not missing bats.

Without any glaring wOBA splits against a certain handed hitter, we’ll go ahead and suggest loading up on the top four in the Brewers order and add in the catcher (whoever he may be):

Keon Broxton, Domingo Santana, Eric Thames, Hernan Perez and Jett Bandy or Manny Pina.

Arizona Diamondbacks

Other than Chase Field being a great hitter's park and the Diamondbacks being a great hitting team, the third factor that gets the D-Backs on the list today is just the “regression to the mean” theory. The snakes will get Padres’ sensation Dinelson Lamet tonight. Lamet shut down the Mets and defending Champion Cubs in his last two outings. I’ll use the Reds’ Amir Garrett as an example here. Remember his start? In his first three starts, he had a 21:3 K:BB ratio and allowed just four combined earned runs. It wasn’t until the nine-run outburst by the Brewers in his fourth start that his season was turned upside down. You see, with so much video at the disposal of hitters and hitting coaches these days, these rookies will likely be figured out. I full expect that to happen tonight to Lamet.

Lamet has a .404 wOBA vs. LH compared to a .214 vs. RH - so we can assume that the lefties get a bit of a boost in this one.

Paul Goldschmidt (R) , David Peralta (L), Jake Lamb (L) -- check the lineup on these two and get them in: Gregor Blanco (L) and Chris Herrmann (L).

Cincinnati Reds

Like Cain, Adam Wainwright is enjoying a very nice run of success recently. He’s been looking like a re-invented version of himself, keeping hitters off-balance and really “pitching” to them. He can’t overpower any more, so this is what he must do. However, let’s not forget that April wasn’t that long ago and these runs must all come to an end. So, the Reds offense is prolific on certain nights. Great American Ballpark can be a launching pad and with the early reports showing a stiff wind blowing out to right field tonight, we are liking us some Reds sticks.

Zack Cozart, Joey Votto, Eugenio Suarez, Adam Duvall, Scott Schebler are all in play tonight. If you are looking for a cheap catcher play, you could even consider getting Devin Mesoraco in there if he’s in the lineup.

Good luck tonight!
