Welcome to the Playbook for Tuesday, May 9th
 

We are back it on Tuesday. Hopefully you faded those Cubs/Rockies and were able to cash in on Jed Lowrie’s two-homer night on Monday. For the purpose of this Playbook, we will ignore the two early games (Cubs/Rockies makeup - Arrieta & Senzatela & Padres/Rangers w/ Trevor Cahill & A.J. Griffin on the mound). So, we’ll have a 14-game slate tonight starting at the normal 7:05 PM EST.
 

There are plenty of left-handed starting pitchers on the docket today so you’ll see a heavy investment in early wOBA returns against the southpaws. There are plenty of offensive ballparks in play as well with Coors Field, Great American Ballpark and Fenway Park all in the mix.
 

Looking at today, we have especially strong options at first base, third base and the outfield. Once again, second base and shortstop is more limited. So, we’d suggest spending at the bigger positions and then find the values at the others.

Weather
There is some weather expected in Cincinnati tonight and as of now it appears to be about a 50/50 shot. We’ll put it as a questionable game and one to keep an eye on with a lot of impact bats playing in this one. We aren’t fading anybody here but keep an eye on it.
 

We also aren’t completely clear for the nightcap in Colorado. So, we’ll track that throughout the day as well.
