Welcome to the Playbook for Monday, May 1st
 

What a first month it was. A lot of offense, huh? We’ll start the month of May with an 11-game slate and some colder temps aroiund the league. We have one true ACE on the mound tonight in Clayton Kershaw and even though he has a slight injury issue - it’s not his arm. We saw the disaster this can cause with Noah Syndergaard yesterday. We’ll just suggest staying away from any pitchers who have a slight arm issue that they claim is no big deal. Let’s get after it and have a winning MAY.

Weather Report
 

There will be some cold temps across the league today and that can help the pitching out. Look for this in Boston, New York, St. Louis and Chicago. This could help keep that from getting out of hand and gives Brett Anderson and Vince Velasquez a slight bump.  The wind is blowing out towards the Green Monster in Boston and could give left-handed hitters another boost in that one.
