Sunday’s main slate on both FanDuel and DraftKings consists of a nine game main slate that runs from the 1:10 PM ET/10:10 AM PT roster lock until the 2:15 PM ET game between the Blue Jays and the Royals. Of course, this means that coverage will feature the Playbook, Rankings, and Optimal Lineups specifically for the main slate.
As we’ve come to see with the Sunday slates, FanDuel isn’t offering an afternoon slate while DraftKings is, even though the prize pools are a small fraction of what’s being offered with the early slate. If you do end up playing the afternoon slate, I do want to warn you that the pitching is absolutely atrocious to the point where Jordan Zimmermann is the highest priced pitcher. Even so, Brandon McCarthy will probably be the chalk option even though the matchup isn’t the greatest. If you’re doing GPPs, you’ll want to consider fading McCarthy for one of the other 11 terrible options available. If you’re looking for stacking options, I do recommend the D-Backs (they usually tweak their lineup on Sunday’s so make sure you are aware of who’s in the lineup), Dodgers, and Astros.
