Today will be the final edition of the DFS NHL Playbook for the 2016-17 season. We’ve had a heck of a run and I truly thank all of you for the support throughout the season.

Today’s Playbook will be covering the seven game main slate that has a roster lock of 6:00 PM ET/3:00 PM PT.

With all 16 playoff teams accounted for, there’s sadly not too much out there to be playing for. Other than pride there are only three teams that have something to be playing for:

Edmonton Oilers- Clinch the Pacific division with a win and a Ducks loss.

Anaheim Ducks - Clinch the Pacific division with a win or OTL or an Oilers loss.

Toronto Maple Leafs - Avoid playing Washington with a win or OTL.

So yeah, pride it is. A big shoutout for team “pride” with the Kings come from behind win in Bob Miller’s last call at Staples Center. He will actually be back behind the mic tonight for the final call of his career. I definitely DO NOT like LA’s chances, but they definitely played inspired hockey against the Hawks, and they’re undoubtedly going to be playing hard tonight.

Other than that, I guess we’ll see how it goes, but please be very careful with the random scratches. For instance, with St. Louis not having much to play for, I wouldn’t be surprised if Mike Yeo decides to sit a few of his star players. Also, do you really think Sidney Crosby plays two games in a row? I highly doubt it.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach me on Twitter @kle18. Good luck, and once again, thank you for a wonderful 2016-17 season!
