Tonight’s 13 game slate will conclude the first half of the 2016-17 NHL season. Teams will then be off until Tuesday, when the second half of the season will kick off with a 14 game slate.

13 games can be a lot to work with, but I will try my best to narrow down the best plays and matchups for all of you.

There are four teams who will be playing without rest. This includes the Toronto Maple Leafs (3-6-1), Philadelphia Flyers (7-3-2), Vancouver Canucks (4-6-0), and Edmonton Oilers (2-1-2). As always, the records that are in parentheses represent each team’s record when playing without rest.

If you haven’t done so already, PRO subscribers can check out my latest NHL article where I keep track of how the biggest goalie favorites have done throughout the season. Check it out by clicking here. Believe it or not, as of tonight, only 59.4 percent of the biggest goalie favorites have come away with a victory this season.
