Thursday’s NHL slate will feature just seven games, with only one team in the Detroit Red Wings, who will be playing their second game in as many nights. The Wings are 2-1-1 when playing without rest, and will have a  matchup against a Kings team that has won their two previous games (both against the always tough Sharks).

The marquee matchup of the night is going to be the seemingly unstoppable Columbus Blue Jackets traveling to D.C. to face the talented Capitals. You better believe I’ll be watching that one closely.

The season is getting closer and closer to the All-Star Break and the sites have been going a ton of different directions when it comes to salaries. A lot of the value guys we were playing regularly earlier in the season are now priced out. Some players who were way too pricey earlier in the season are finally reasonable. It’s important to keep an eye of any developments, and hey, it also doesn’t hurt to watch some games while your at it.

NHL.TV is a great value for everything that you get. Plus, students and military can get 35 percent off. Even if you don’t have time to watch games, just being able to watch highlights of the goals can make a big difference.
