Nothing better than some Daily Fantasy Basketball on this glorious Saturday as there is plenty of NBA action tonight (8 games). Here are some players that I feel strongly about tonight.
Cheap players that have major upside.
Shane Larkin PG, Dal- The best cheap play tonight is “Sugar” Shane Larkin as long as Jose Calderon doesn’t play because of a knee injury. Also, their backup Gal Mekel has a torn meniscus so Larkin would be the only active PG. He filled in nicely for Calderon last night with 18 points, 5 assist, and 2 steals in 27 minutes. Look for him to get 30+ fantasy points (FPTs) if he gets the start.
Tony Snell & Kirk Hinrich- Both are very cheap options tonight as the Bulls face the 76ers. Snell is starting to get more playing time and should have a decent game tonight. He could get 20 FPTs tonight which would be great for how cheap he is ($5,978 on DraftStreet). Hinrich had a great game last night by posting 18 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assist vs Washington. He should continue that solid play tonight as the 76ers are the worst defensive team in the NBA. He is a meager $7,574 on DraftStreet.
These players have major boom potential while also being good values.
Brandon Knight PG/SG, Mil- Knight had a big game vs Memphis scoring 27 points,4 assist, draining 5 3’s while playing 40 minutes last game. As long as this game remains close, Knight should have another big performance as the Bucks face Houston. Jeremy Lin will likely be guarding Knight and by guarding him, I mean, watching Knight run right past him. His price has dropped on most sites as he is only $12,120 on DS and $5,900 on DK.
Eric Gordon SG, NOP- Has been playing some great ball recently by scoring 20+ points in 4 out of the last 5 games. Gordon is the only true shooting threat for the Pelicans in what should be a high scoring game vs Golden State. He is a great price on DKs at $6,000.
Lance Stephenson SG/SF, Ind- Lance has a chance to have another huge game as the Pacers have a great matchup tonight vs the Clippers. “Born Ready” will have a great all-around game because J.J. Reddick will be guarding him…that’s about all you need to know. He is a great value play on DraftKings at $5,800.
Other mid-tier players I like: Enes Kanter, Klay Thompson, Chris Bosh.
These players cost a lot, but also produce some big numbers.
Al Jefferson PF/C, Cha- Al-J has been one of the best players in fantasy in past 3 games by posting 62, 45.5, 51.5 FPTs during that span. Tonight, he faces the Heat who are lacking quality big men so badly that they are playing Shrek..I mean Greg Oden. Look for Al-J to have another monster game tonight.
Damian Lillard PG, Por- Think I already mentioned that Shane Larkin is going to be opposing him..so there’s that. Lillard has scored 40+FPTs in 2 straight games and dropped 42 FPTs last time he faced Dallas this season. Don't worry about spending big for him as he is a very safe option that will likely exceed 40+ FPTs.
Paul George SF,Ind- He is the 11th most expensive player on DraftKings and Draftstreet, but could easily provide top 5 production tonight vs the Clippers. Got a good feeling about him tonight.
