There are some elite starting pitchers on today's slate which gives us plenty of pitching props to target. Once again there are no MLB weather issues that we have to deal with when it comes to picking and choosing which MLB top player props we want to target from today's PrizePicks MLB player prop board. Make sure you are checking out the MLB lineup pages before locking in your plays to see who is and isn't active. We've had a nice run of late with our player props, going 10-3 over the last four days.  As I mentioned above, with the elite pitching, we look at some pitching props for tonight's card.

PrizePicks Top Plays

Gerrit Cole Over 7.5 Strikeouts

Cole is very much looking like one of the league's best pitchers again, allowing just four runs over his last 25.1 innings while striking out 34 over that stretch. Tonight he faces the Orioles who struck out seven times against Severino a few nights ago and have a near 25-percent strikeout rate against RHP over the past week's worth of games. Overall this season Baltimore has a 23-percent strikeout rate against RHP which is the 13th highest total in baseball. Cole has hit the over on tonight's strikeout total in three of the last four starts.

Kevin Gausman Over 7.0 Strikeouts

Many wondered if Gausman was going to carry over his successful 2021 performance into 2022 with a move back to the American League East and so far he has answered those questions with a resounding yes. Gausman has a 2.40 ERA with 54 strikeouts over 45.0 innings. His 2.40 ERA is matched by an elite 0.82 FIP. Tonight he draws a Mariners team that has a lot of swing and miss in their lineup and while they had been playing better heading into this series, we've seen both Yusei Kikuchi and José Berríos shut them down over the past two days. Now they get the ACE of the Blue Jays staff. I think Gausman puts forth another big-time outing. He has gone over tonight's strikeout prop in five of his seven starts this season.

Pablo López Over 18.0 Outs

Pablo López pitching at home is about as automatic as automatic gets. In three home starts this season he is 2-0 with a 0.47 ERA, having allowed just one run over 19.0 innings while striking out 17. Tonight he faces a Nationals team which he has faced already this season and in that start, he tossed six shutout innings while striking out six. We are looking for 18 outs tonight which means we need at least six innings here to get the push. Lopez has gone over 18 outs in each of the last two starts, finishing with 21 and 24 outs.
