We kick the week off with a nice slate of games in the MLB which provides us with a nice board of MLB PrizePicks player props to build our tickets around this evening. There are no MLB weather issues to worry about today which had been the case over the past few days and aside from a surprising MLB lineup change, we should have a good feel for who will be playing this evening. I have a trio of top pitching props that I am targeting today for today's top plays!

PrizePicks Top Plays

Julio Urias Over 17.5 Outs

There are few more frustrating situations in baseball than the Dodgers management of their pitching staff. Dave Roberts seemingly has everyone on an innings or pitch count limit that has made it tough to pick and choose what props to take when it comes to their staff. That said, tonight, I feel like we got a good number here on Urias at 17.5 Outs. To hit the over he needs to pitch at least six innings which is exactly what he has pitched in each of his last two starts. Tonight he draws a favorable matchup against a Pirates team that rankings 17th in average and 20th in wOBA against left-handed pitching this season. As long Urias can stay out of trouble I don't see Roberts pulling him before the sixth inning tonight.

Brandon Woodruff Over 7.0 Strikeouts

We just saw this matchup in Woodruff's most recent start and he had 12 strikeouts over 5.2 innings. Tonight he finds himself on the road this time around, pitching in the very hitter-friendly confines of the Great American Ballpark. The Reds are the league's worst team and currently rank 28th in average and 24th in wOBA against RHP while owning the second highest-strikeout rate at 26.4-percent. As long as Woodruff can keep the ball in the yard tonight he should have a good path to maximizing the strikeouts tonight in this matchup.

Noah Syndergaard Over 17.5 Outs

We need six innings here from Syndergaard which is something he has completed in two of his four starts this season. The reason for optimism here today is the fact that the Angels let him throw 100 pitches in his most recent outing. If pitch count is no longer something that will limit him then all we need for him to do is keep the damage to a minimum which is something he has been able to do in each start this year. Tonight he draws a Tampa Rays team that has the fifth-highest strikeout rate against RHP this season at 25.5-percent. Missing bats will be key to his success tonight as the Rays have been a top 10 team in average and top 15 team in wOBA against RHP this season.
