We got a solid three-game slate in the NBA tonight and a full MLB slate over on PrizePicks tonight which leaves us with plenty of top player props to pick from when building our core plays today. All season long we've been targeting Joel Embiid in weaker matchups and Luis Severino has looked good in his first two outings of the year. These two lead our PrizePicks ticket tonight.

PrizePicks Top Plays

Joel Embiid Over 15.5 1H Points

In Game 2 of this series Embiid had 19 points in the first half against the Raptors. In Game 1 he finished with 15 first-half points. The facts are this, Toronto has no answer for Embiid in this series and for the majority of the year Embiid has been a dominant player, especially when it comes to these first-half point props. Embiid finished the regular season scoring over 15.5 first-half points in eight of the final 10 games.  This is a trend that I look to see continue this evening.

Luis Severino Over 5.0 Strikeouts

Severino worked his pitch count up to 83 pitches in his second start of the season in which he shut out the Blue Jays over five innings while striking out six. Those six strikeouts would be good enough for the over tonight and that's what we are looking for here tonight in a much easier matchup against a Tigers team that has a 25.6-percent strikeout rate, good for the sixth-highest in the league. The Tigers are also only hitting just .196 as a team. Let's look for vintage Sevy to show up tonight in this favorable matchup.

Salvador Perez Over 1.5 Total Bases

Perez has multi-hit games in four of the last six. He homered twice in Tuesday's game and today he draws a matchup against Chris Paddack who was crushed by right-handed pitching last season to the run of a .325 average and an OPS of .901. If Perez is locked in, all he needs to do is put one in the stands for this one hit.

Tyrese Maxey Over 2.0 Three-Pointers Made

Maxey has hit eight three-pointers in the two games this series against the Raptors, going over tonight's prop total of 2.0 in both contests. Maxey has hit the over this number in each of the last three games against the Raptors and this prop hasn't lost in each of the last four games as Maxey hit two three-pointers against the Raptors back in March as well. With all the focus on Embiid and Harden, Maxey has thrived as that third man and he continues to get open looks and he is knocking them down.

Fred VanVleet Over 3.5 Three-Pointers Made

We know one thing for sure, FVV is going to launch at will in this game tonight. Sure, Gary Trent is expected to be back and play full minutes tonight but this is a game that I am expecting the Raptors to be playing from behind, even with the home crowd behind them. VanVleet has hit the over on this number in each of the two games in this series and he has gone over in all three games against the 76ers this season. VanVleet averaged 3.7 three-pointers per game this season and he is not shy about shooting them either, attempting at least 11 three-pointers in four of the last five games he has played.
