Point Guards

RANKNAMETeam# GamesAnalysis
1Stephen CurryGSW4Curry has proven that he can still be very involved in the offensive scheme and when he's not throwing his mouth guard at refs, he's great for scoring, three's, assists and even steals.
2John WallWSH4Wall will continue to be the everything-guard and he'll provide production in just about every standard category including blocks. Wall always looks to speed up the offense.
3Russell WestbrookOKC3Moving Westbrook down just a little bit to see how he adjusts with Paul George and Carmelo Anthony. Westbrook will still help with most categories at a high level.
4Kemba WalkerCHA4Walker will be needed to take the overwhelming majority of shots with Nicolas Batum out and will have the ball in his hands and will look to create even through traffic in the lane.
5Mike ConleyMEM4Grizzlies are already suffering from injuries in their mid and frontcourt and will need to rely on Conley more heavily to drive down the lane. Assists and scoring should increase.
6D'Angelo RussellBKN4With Jeremy Lin out of action, Russell will need to play effectively from both guard spots. With the Nets inconsistent backcourt depth, Russell will be the top shooting and scoring option.
7Damian LillardPOR3Even with C.J. McCollum back, Lillard will still handle the majority of plays by himself, and will look to create from the top of the key. He should be a big help with assists.
8Kyrie IrvingBOS3With Gordon Hayward and Marcus Smart out, the Celtics will need to rely on Irving heavily to force the ball inside whether it's by driving or speeding up the offense. He'll get more shots.
9Kyle LowryTOR3Lowry will still get plenty of opportunities in the Raptors offense, especially because they're hurting a bit up front. When DeMar DeRozan draws the double, Lowry will be open from mid-range.
10Dejounte MurraySAS4Murray will be seeing a lot of playing time, at least until Tony Parker returns and he's already showed how organized and patient he is with the ball. He'll help with points, steals and assists.
11Reggie JacksonDET4After a miserable preseason, Jackson started off the season filling up the stat sheet and because Avery Bradley stays on the perimeter, he'll be driving a lot more this year. Suspect shooter.
12Eric BledsoePHX3Every game the Suns are involved in is a race to 11. Bledsoe will be a big part of that from a scoring and passing standpoint. Bledsoe normally begins his drives and then passes off when doubled.
13Ricky RubioUT3Rubio has continued his strong shooting into the season and the Jazz will need him to shoot more with Rodney Hood hurt. Rubio can always be relied on for a lot of assists and steals on defense.
14Jrue HolidayNO3With Rajon Rondo still out, Holiday will have to play more as acting floor general and a lot of the Pelicans plays have been sent inside. Expect a lot of assists and more scoring when Rondo returns.
15Dennis SchroderATL4INJ: He's suffering from Foot and Ankle injuries and could miss games this week,.
16Dennis Smith Jr.DAL4Smith Jr: Knee-Questionable for Monday
17Goran DragicMIA3With Hassan Whiteside dealing with knee issues, Dragic will get a lot more time with the ball and he should have an increased role in the offense. His scoring will increase &  he'll still compile assists
18Darren CollisonIND3Myles Turner is dealing with a Concussion thus the ball will be out of his hands and Collison will get more time with the ball. Scoring should see a boost and he'll also help with assists and steals.
19Lonzo BallLAL3Scoring will continue to be inconsistent as he adjusts to the league, but as advertised, Ball is a good passer and he'll grab boards to help balance shooting woes.

20

Jeff TeagueMIN3

Seeing Teague take 10 shots in 2 of his first 3 games is encouraging that a scoring role is carved out for him in the offense. You can rely on Teague for assists and steals as well.

Shooting Guards

RANKNAMETeam# GamesAnalysis
1James HardenHOU4With Chris Paul out for potentially the next month, Harden will be handling more of the Point Guard responsibilities and should see a boost in assists for the next few weeks.
2Bradley BealWSH4Beal has learned how to attack the paint from different angles of the court and doesn’t wait to get fed the ball anymore. Beal will also battle for boards.
3Klay ThompsonGSW4Thompson has been helping out inside early and when the Warriors go on scoring runs, Thompson often leads the charge with his quick released shot.
4Eric GordonHOU4Gordon will be playing a lot more with CP3 out and taking a lot more shots. With Harden shifting to PG for a lot of the time, Gordon gets a familiar role in the offense.
5DeMar DeRozanTOR3DeRozan will continued to be featured as the top option from right inside the arc. He's an attack-first player and he'll fill up the stat sheet. Raptors big men are hurting and he'll get more boards.
6CJ McCollumPOR3McCollum will play the full week and even though he's a second scoring option, b/c the Blazers don't have a lot of reliable weapons, he'll get fed a ton and help with assists and steals.
7Avery BradleyDET4Bradley's defense is the big reason why he'll get a lot of playing time. Expect a lot of steals, but he's staying at the arc a lot on offense, so the scoring may take a hit until he settles in a bit more.
8Gary HarrisDEN4Harris is good at finding openings on the court to create and get a step in the lane. Harris has a strong mid-range game and will get a lot of shots. He'll be a bailout option for drivers at the arc.
9Danny GreenSAS4Green will be getting a lot more shots until Kawhi Leonard returns. The Spurs need all the help they can get from mid-range with Leonard out and Green knows the offense. He'll help rebound too.
10Victor OladipoIND3Oladipo will be needed as the primary scorer until Myles Turner returns hopefully this week. Oladipo is a strong shooter from distance, but will need to show he's a threat on the drive as well.
11Khris MiddletonMIL3Middleton will need to learn how to step inside the arc a bit more on offense. He'll score a lot more when the arc is left open. Expect assist and steals help as the Bucks seond option.
12Devin BookerPHX3Booker will continue to be featured as the second scoring option and will see a lot of open looks from mid-range. The Suns have trouble scoring inside and Booker will be fed more to drive.
13Andrew WigginsMIN3Even though I'm a bit worried that Wiggins, who is a bit scoring dependant may lose out on shots, he'll see more success if he looks to keep plays alive in the paint helping his rebounding & scoring
14Jaylen BrownBOS3Brown will ccontinue to be the main beneficiary for shots with Gordon Hayward out and he has both shooting and lane driving ability. When Brown drives, he plays bigger than his height.
15J.J. BareaDAL4With Dennis Smith Jr. and Seth Curry hurting, expect the scrappy Barea to get more playing time early. Barea goes in the lane, sacrifices his body and is reliable for scoring, rebounding and steals.
16Jeremy LambCHA4With Nocolas Batum out, Lamb's long-range shooting will be needed so the Hornets can show they have multiple threats on offense. When Walker looks to drive, he'll be left open to bail him out.
17Allen CrabbeBKN4Even with Lin out, Crabbe will still play a lot with the second unit, but he'll still be a featured scorer in the Nets second unit and with Lin out, Crabbe will need to play more when Russell rotates.
18Justin HolidayCHI3The Bulls are dealing with a lot of injuries and inexperience and Holiday, who opened eyes in the preseason, will be a featured scorer in this Bulls offense and he'll bang in the lane a bit too.
19Kentavious Caldwell-PopeLAL3KCP is back from suspension and will be taking a lot of mid-range shots. KCP can create with the ball and isn't afraid of taking contact and he will drive. He'll provide some rebounding help.
20Tim Hardaway Jr. NY3Hardaway Jr. will be more of a volume scorer until he finds his fit with the Knicks. When he's on, they'll keep feeding him. When he's cold, they'll keep him in the corner on offense.

Small Forwards

RANKNAMETeam# GamesAnalysis
1Kevin DurantGSW4Durant will continue to be featured heavily in the Warriors offense. He'll fill up the stat sheet and even help with blocks in the lane. When Curry gets doubled, Durant will look to cut more in the lane
2LeBron JamesCLE4James will continue to be the top scoring option and with Derrick Rose hurting, he'll be bringing up the ball a lot more which puts even more control of the possession in his destiny.
3Otto Porter Jr. WSH4Porter will get a lot more shots than he's used to early on because of the Wizards lack of health at Power Forward. Porter will take advantage of slower big men. Expect increased scoring.
4Tobias HarrisDET4Detroit made a good decision by keeping Harris in the starting lineup and even though he's a known slasher, his shot selection from the arc to start has been impressive.
5Paul GeorgeOKC3George will still get time to attack the lane with the ball in the Thunder's offense. AS always, George will provide a balanced stat sheet complete with boards, steals and blocks.
6Jimmy ButlerMIN3Butler is clearly still trying to find his fit on the Timberwolves. Butler will be used on offense as more of a slasher. He'll always help compile rebounds, steals and blocks. Scoring has been under par.
7Wilson ChandlerDEN4Chandler will be able to get a secure amount of playing time b/c he can play four positions on the court. He'll provide double-digit scoring, a lot of steals and consistent rebounds and assists.
8Will BartonDEN4Barton has been showing how much of a help he can be on the court. His scoring has been great to start the season and he's shown he can be a consistant rebounder off the bench.
9Trevor ArizaHOU4Ariza will pick up a few more shots and certainly more time with the ball to set up the offense at the top of the key with CP3 out. Expect double digit scoring and a lot of steals.
10Rudy GaySAS4Even though Gay is coming off the bench, he's already shown he can be a consistent scoring weapon in the post. Don't forget, Gay has range too and will help out with rebounding.
11Kelly Oubre Jr.WSH4Oubre will get a lot more playing time with both Markieff Morris and Jason Smith hurt and he's been taking advantage showing his shooting range from distance early and rebounding.
12Taurean PrinceATL4B/c of lack of depth, Prince will always get a secure amount of playing time. He's more of an attacker than shooter and will look to draw contact. Prince will help out with steals too.
13DeMarre CarrollBKN4Carroll has turned heads with the amount of scoring help he's provided thus far and with Lin out, he could pick up more shots. Carroll earns his playing time for his defense.
14Wesley MatthewsDAL4Matthews will still be needed as a co-number two scoring weapon with Dennis Smith Jr. hurting. When Matthews calls for the ball in high post he see's a lot of success b/c of match up issues.
15Kyle AndersonSAS4Anderson will be involved in the Spurs offense until Leonard reutrns and has not only been able to take more shots, but he's been helping out on the glass.
16Evan FournierORL3Fournier will pick up more shots with Aaron Gordon's status up in the air. Fournier is good at reading screens off the curl and getting open from right inside the arc. He's a featured scorer.
17Joe InglesUT3Ingles shot has been falling and has been providing rebound help early which will keep him in the game more. With Rodney Hood hurting, more shots are coming Ingles way.
18Danilo GallinariLAC3The Clippers saw more success inside in their first couple of games, but Gallinari will be featured more this week from the arc. He'll look to create with the ball and will help with assists.
19Robert CovingtonPHI3Covington can play multiple positions on the court and when his three-ball is falling, the Sixers will continue to feed him. Expect rebounding and steals help from him.
20Dillon BrooksMEM4Brooks was one of the biggest scoring surprises in week one of the season and his fresh legs will be needed to log minutes early with all of the health issues Memphis faces in the mid-court.

Power Forward

RANKNAMETeam# GamesAnalysis
1Anthony DavisNO3So far, no injuries! When Davis is healthy, even with another highly skilled Center on his team, he'll still be a major all-around fantasy producer and will help in every category.
2Giannis AntetokounmpoMIL3He'll play multiple positions on the court and will log a ton of minutes and he'll fill up the stat sheet and bring the ball up a good amount for the Bucks.
3LaMarcus AldridgeSAS4Until Kawhi Leonard returns, Aldridge will be the Spurs top scoring option and he's moving a lot better inside and outside to start the season and he'll grab a good amount of boards.
4Draymond GreenGSW4Remember, Green is not a scorer even though you'll see him hit three's every so often, but mainly second-chance scoring. Expect a lot of rebounds, steals and blocks.
5Paul MillsapDEN4Millsap will see a lot less pressure from the opposition when Nikola Jokic's offense is working. Teams will focus on keeping Jokic out of the paint and Millsap will attack and rebound inside.
6Harrison Barnes DAL4Barnes will continue to be the Mavericks top scoring weapon this season even from the perimeter. Barnes will provide consistent rebounding and steals.
7Blake GriffinLAC3Griffin was one of the top fantasy players of week 1 and he'll serve as the Clippers top scoring weapon and he's been a beast on the glass to start the season.
8Kristaps PorzingisNY3Porzingis is ready to take on the role as the Knicks top scoring weapon and has been seeing most of his success from the mid-range as he's able to take advantage of smaller defenders in the post
9Ben SimmonsPHI3The shooting is not there yet, but the court awareness, good defense, good driving and lane attacking ability is and he'll still find a way to score in double figures. Expect a lot of rebounds.
10Rondae Hollis-JeffersonBKN4RHJ will be utilized at both forward positions and the Nets will feed him a lot in the high post and he can shoot from mid-range and attack the lane. RHJ is good at positioning himself in the paint.
11Jae CrowderCLE4Crowder will pick up more shots with Derrick Rose hurt b/c when LeBron James brings up the ball, the defense will collapse on him and Crowder will be left open at the arc or elbow.
12Ryan AndersonHOU4Don't forget about Anderson and with CP3 out, even Anderson will get more shots when Harden is trapped on the perimeter. Anderson showed that he'll help grab long rebounds.
13Carmelo AnthonyOKC3Anthony has been able to keep his scoring in the 20's in each of his first few games as expected. He'll be shooting a lot more than attacking. He's been helpful with steals too.
14Lauri MarkkanenCHI3With all of the personnel issues the Bulls are facing, Markkanen is already making a run at being the top scorer on the team. Markkanen will help with three's and will grab boards.
15Serge IbakaTOR3Ibaka will be much more of an effective player on offense when he's not standing out on the arc and is attacking the lane. We can always rely on Ibaka for boards and blocks.
16John CollinsATL4Collins will get more playing time in the lineup and is already showing just how good he is at attacking the lane and running the floor. He's adjusting to the pro-level but is learning quickly.
17Al-Farouq AminuPOR3The Blazers don't have too much depth in the post. and when the lane is left semi-open, the Blazers will look to have Aminu attack to draw contact. He'll help out consistently on the glass.
18Thaddeus YoungIND3With Myles Turner out, expect Young to have the ball in his hands more looking to attack. He's excellent at following up his shot and Young will even help with interior steals.
19James JohnsonMIA3Johnson has to earn his way back into the starting lineup and with Hassan Whiteside hurting, this is his chance. Johnson will be most helpful at the elbow. He is a good attacker and rebounder.
20Aaron GordonORL3

INJ: Dealing with an Ankle injury unsure how much more time he'll miss this week.

Centers

RANKNAMETeam# GamesAnalysis
1DeMarcus CousinsNO3The Pelicans will be getting a lot of production out of there stud big men and Cousins will even bring up the ball a few times a game. He'll fill up the stat sheet completely playing opposite A.D.
2Karl-Anthony TownsMIN3Even with just three games, he's going to get a ton of boards and will be featured as a top offensive weapon. Towns can also be relied on for blocks and will shoot from long-range.
3Kevin LoveCLE4With defenses likely to collapse on LeBron James even more when he brings up the ball, Love should see more openings in the post and will continue to help on the glass and with three's.
4Marc GasolMEM4With all of Memphis' injuries, Gasol will be needed to score even more from both inside and outside. Gasol will help out big with boards and blocks.
5Nikola JokicDEN4Jokic had an interesting start to the season, and while he may have started slow, he's very dangerous when he gets the ball at the arc and will create on and off the ball and grab a ton of boards.
6Andre DrummondDET4Drummond is still one of the hardest players in the league to box out and doesn't even need to create with the ball to score in double figures. He'll help the most with double-digit rebounding.
7Dwight HowardCHA4Howard has been helpful thus far and even though he's not commanding the ball as much, he's still finding himself with the ball inside. We can always expect points, boards and blocks.
8Marcin GortatWSH4Gortat will be needed to log more minutes early with the big men injuries the Wizards are facing. Gortat has been strong on offense to start the season making a lot of one-handed shots.
9Clint CapelaHOU4Capela may be Houston's only defender, but he's seen a lot of success getting in the post early. He fights for boards and to keep plays alive. The Rockets will feed him in the low block.
10Rudy GobertUT3Gobert will mainly score inside, but it's the rebounding and the blocks that make him one of the best Center's in the game. He'll get fed in the post a lot.
11Nikola VucevicORL3Vucevic had an excellent first week of the season and even had a 40-plus point outing. I can't brag about Vucevic's footwork enough and has his way in the lane. Benefits more with Gordon hurt.
12DeAndre JordanLAC3Jordan had a strong start to the season getting fed in the low post. He can't create much with the ball, but like Drummond, he'll find a way to hit double figures. Expect ample boards and blocks.
13Al HorfordBOS3Horford is still one of the best shooting big-men in the league and with Hayward out, he'll get even more shots from the perimeter. He'll grab boards on the defensive end.
14Joel EmbiidPHI3Embiid would be a few spots higher as he has a ton of skills for a big man, including outside scoring, but it's never easy to tell when the Sixers will rest him. He'll fill up the stat sheet.
15Pau GasolSAS4He may not be as shifty in the post as he was a few years ago, but Gasol still utilizes his post moves and the Spurs need the scoring help with Kawhi Leonard out.
16Trevor BookerBKN4Even though Booker doeesn't start, he'll still grab a lot of boards and get inside scoring opportunities. Remember, Timofey Mozgov is not that good at Basketball and will play limited minutes.
17Dirk NowitzkiDAL4Nowitzki won't command the ball as much and he'll mainly score from either the low post or top the key but on this Mavs team, he should be able to score consistently in double figures.
18Tristan ThompsonCLE4Thompson will still find a way to grab seven to 10 rebounds coming off the bench for the Cavs. He will mainly score from second chance scoring opportunities off of missed shots.
19Brook LopezLAL3It's hard to rely on him for consistent rebounding, but Lopez will still be featured a lot in the Lakers offense. He'll take deep mid-range jumpers & bigger defenders will be forced to leave the paint.
20Hassan WhitesideMIA3INJ: Bone bruise on knee. He may have to miss a couple of games this week.
