Last week was a perfect lesson on postseason and small slate DFS NFL. When you only have four games to select from, the pickings will obviously be slim. But if you properly identify the game flow of just one of these four games and hit on the players who do the damage, big things happen.

When you use multiple lineups in what amounts to a total GPP slate of games you are either going to sink or you are going to swim. Last week we sunk with three of our four lineups but the one that swam got us all of the way across the Pacific. As long as we are proffitabe that is all that matters though and thus we'll aim for another big week here in the Divisional Round.

WEATHER

VERY IMPORTANT: The Pittsburgh/Kansas City game start time has been changed due to bad weather in Kansas City during the day. This game will now be at 8:20 PM ET which makes it the last game of the weekend. The turf will still be slick and rain/sleet/snow is still possible during some of the game but generally there will be better conditions than we had initially expected. The other games are all clear in terms of weather with the New England area being cold obviously for a night game in January but not to the point that it would affect the players or game.

QUARTERBACK

Aaron Rodgers is the obvious choice here because he has to throw the ball so damn much that 80% of the Packerse offensive yards are generated by him. Tom Brady is obviously very safe but I have concerns about the game flow there limiting his overall totals. I'd rather invest in the Patriots running game and not pay up for Brady this week. I am not touching Brock Osweiler of course and am not going with either Ben Roethlisberger or Alex Smith in the late Sunday game. This leaves Russell Wilson, Matt Ryan and Dak Prescott to decide between. The price and ownership on each of them is very fair so it comes down to which we think will give us the most opportunities for that big game. On FD that is pretty easy as Matt Ryan is only $100 more than Wlson and $600 than Dak. On DK though, the extra $1000 of saving to Dak is pretty intriguing to me and something that I am toying with here right up until the end.

RUNNING BACKS

This is dangerous territory because I really believe that it will be the RB's who decide our fate this week but we absolutely have to fade one of the top guys in order to build any decent lineup. So, take your pick between Le'Veon Bell and Ezekiel Elliott and play one and fade one. My choice is use Bell and fade Elliott and it makes me sick to my stomach. But Bell is just too versatile that he is never out of the offense no matter how the game flow goes whereas Elliott can be limited if the Cowboys are put in more passing situations which I think that they will be this week. The Packers are going to score and the Cowboys fate will be determined by Dak Prescott's ability to limit turnovers and make plays in the passing game.

The good news is that I LOVE the Falcons running backs here against the Seahawks this week. Both Devonta Freeman and Tevin Coleman are in play and capable of posting multiple touchdowns this week. I am going to take a swing with Coleman in one of my lineups which will allow me to pay up for other positions and give my lineup a bit more balance. Few will have the balls to use Coleman but if he hits it'll give us the early spark that puts us in contention to take down a GPP this weekend. As I stated before, I love the Patriots running game as well and it appears as though LeGarrette Blount is healthy engough that he is completely off of the Patriots final injury report for the week. Blount is going to score twice this week and could be the only Pats player to touch the ball in the fourth quarter. If you are feeling frisky or doing multiple lineups, don't forget about Dion Lewis or even James White here also. These are very risky plays but if you're doing multiple lineups or playing a ton of other chalk, either could be your differenciator.

WIDE RECEIVERS

If you want to beat me this week, just play receivers from the Texans, Patriots, Steelers or Chiefs. Yeah, even Antonio Brown is off of my radar this week mostly because of Big Ben's road struggles, the coverage of Marcus Peters/Eric Berry and the cold weather in Kansas City. Listen folks, you can play Brown ANY TIME YOU LIKE. He is always a "good play" so don't misinterpret my words. I am not using him because I prefer Bell in this matchup and I cannot afford that salary based on the other players that I want to use in this slate. The other guy that I would like to use but can't find room is Doug Baldwin. Baldwin actually makes me more nervous to fade than Brown believe it or not. But Badlwin's salary is just too much for me and I will instead hope that we get a Jermaine Gresham or Paul Richerdson big game.

Dez Bryant should be able to crush this Packers secondary specifically Ladarius Gunter who he will see the most of this weekend. As I mentioned above, Dak Prescott throwing the football will determine if the Cowboys survive the Packers and that means Dez should be a major factor as well. Don't rule out Terrance Williams either as I love to pick on Damarious Randall and have made a lot of money on this season. Julio Jones is terrific as always and tore apart the Seahawks last time up in Seattle but he also has a very hefty pricetag. I'll split lineups with half Julio and half no Julio this week. With Jordy Nelson out this week I am going all in on Davante Adams and even quite a bit on Randall Cobb. Both will have high ownership but the floor is so high that it's both a safe and big upside play.

TIGHT END

I just can't fit Travis Kelce in anywhere this week for his price. I've heard a lot of people referencing Kelce scoring a TD in their week four matchup and while that is true, it was a late three yard TD with the game well in hand and he totaled a whopping 23 yards in the game. I do believe that Kelce will outproduce those numbers but I cannot pay the premium for him with all of these other options on the board for us this week. My preferences are Jimmy Graham who should be a focus for the Seahawks passing game as the Falcons have a very difficult time covering the middle of the field. The Cowboys give up the third most fantasy points to TE's this season and thus many are flocking to Jared Cook who has been on a bit of a roll himself lately. But I will only have minimal amounts of Cook as Packers TE's are more disappointing than Burger King french fries. If you are looking for value, CJ Fiedorowicz and Jason Witten are probably my two favorite low priced options this week. I toyed with the idea of Jesse James but he screwed me so bad last week by doing literally nothing that I am too sore to go back to that well again.
