Its a pretty light Monday with just eight games going in the evening slate. The MLB trade deadline is is today at 4 PM ET and thus we need to be on our toes if we are playing DFS tonight. For me this is an easy slate as I will once again be focusing on tournaments partly because of the small slate and partly because I've been on fire for the last week in GPP contests. This weekend our lineups bubbled world championship qualifiers on both DK and FD. If either Adam Duvall gets at extra base hit in his last AB on Friday night or the Tigers don't win the review that gave them and Justin Verlander the win on Saturday, I'd have been booking travel to Toronto and Nashville. Still, we'll take the huge paydays from last week and invest them into making more profits here this week.
The only game with any weather concerns is in New York where the Yankees take on the Mets at Citi Field. There is a 40% chance of thunderstorms throughout the evening so PLEASE check in on the latest radar before you use anybody from that game. The teams that we want to be invested in today include the Cubs righties, both the Mariners & Red Sox righties, Indians lefties and pretty much anyone you want in the Blue Jays/Astros contest. I am hoping that the Rays will be underowned this evening becaue of how well Danny Duffy has pitched lately. I'll take the Rays stack into battle in a short slate against a LHP if I can get them at a reasonable ownership %.
