We only have five baseball games on Friday's main slate but that doesn't mean we don't have some top notch player props we're looking to attack! Some of the biggest names in baseball play tonight such as Mike Trout, Shohei Ohtani, and Juan Soto! Let's get after it!

Ozzie Albies OVER 1.5 total bases

When you start talking about Ozzie Albies the first thing you have to mention is that he crushes lefties. He’s done so since the first day in the big leagues. His career slash line against left-handed pitching is a .339 AVG, .370 OBP, and a .577 SLG%. He has a .238 ISO against LHP compared to a .191 mark versus righties and his wOBA is a smidge below .400.

His opponent is Reiver Sanmartin, who is 25-years young and has not had many major league appearances. In the minors back in 2021, Sanmartin allowed six home runs, five coming against right-handed hitters. The Braves have a very solid 4.74 implied runs total, which is the fourth-highest mark on the board. Albies leading off maximizes his at-bats.

Mike Trout OVER 1.5 total bases

When you start digging into Mike Trout’s numbers the past couple of seasons, sometimes stands out above the rest.

He loves facing right-handed pitching.

Across his shortened 2021 season, Trout hit .361 with all eight of his home runs compared to .265 against lefties. He hit .295 against righty hurlers in ‘20, compared to .245 versus southpaws. In fact, the last time his batting average was higher against lefties than righties was all the way back in 2016. Thing is, his OPS was STILL higher against righties.

Enter Jake Odorizzi into the equation, a guy who allowed 1.68 HR/9, a 31.1% hard-hit rate and a 4.52 xFIP to RHH last year and you have a guy that is exploitable. Trout’s first real damage in ‘22 is coming tonight.
