Pos | Player | Team | Opp. Pitcher | DK Sal. | DK FPPG |
SP | Eric Jokisch | KIW | J. Baek (L) | $9,500 | 20.44 |
Yes, Samsung's been playing terrific of late, but Jokisch owns a 7-2 record with a minuscule 1.30 ERA and 0.87 WHIP. He's only 1-1 against the Lions this season but over his last five starts owns a 1.20 ERA with 19 strikeouts against five walks over 33 innings of work. This game comes with the lowest total (8.5 runs) with Kiwoom a -278 favorite.
SP | Raul Alcantara | DOO | T. Wilson (R) | $9,200 | 18.31 |
Making for a nice SP2 on this slate, Alcantara's stepped up arsenal of late notching an eye popping 30:3 K:BB his last 35.1 innings fueling a 2.29 ERA and two wins his last five outings. LG's been hot so far this series but Alcantara should be able to record the quality start bonus with some strikeout upside and we will look the other way if he serves up a solo home run or two if he gets the win.
SP | Drew Gagnon | KIA | B. Jo (R) | $8,100 | 17.06 |
A lower priced option from Alcantara, Gagnon can be frustrating but his 2.94 FIP sits almost a run below his actual ERA (3.77) this season and he's just under a strikeout per inning (57 in 57.1 IP). He's won three decisions in a row and if he navigates around KT's tough left-handed bats, Gagnon could be a nice pivot on Thursday.
SP | Adrian Sampson | LOT | H. Kim (L) | $7,700 | 7.29 |
Even more price relief lies in Sampson hoping he can build on Straily's dominant outing against the KBO's most strikeout prone team in Hanwha. Sampson defeated the Eagles on June ninth but disappointed allowing three earned runs on nine hits with only three strikeouts. He needs to cut down on traffic on the bases and up the K's to pay off in GPP's. |

Pos | Player | Team | Opp. Pitcher | DK Sal. | DK FPPG |
C | Se Hyuk Park | DOO | T. Wilson (R) | $3,800 | 6.26 |
Hit safely in all seven July starts batting .458 with seven RBI, three walks and one strikeout to start the month sizzling. Wilson allows LHH to bat over .300 setting up left-handed heavy Doosan for success.
C | Ji Young Lee | KIW | J. Baek (L) | $2,400 | 5.17 |
Be sure he's in the lineup, but if Lee gets the start he's 8-for-24 versus LHP this season wiht two doubles and five RBI while teammate Dong Won Park struggles against southpaws giving Lee the splits advantage.
C | Eui Ji Yang | NCD | R. Pinto (R) | $5,700 | 8.61 |
Perhaps going against the stream spending up at catcher with Yang makes sense in this slate. Yang's slashing .333/.394/.467 his last 10 contests with five RBI in them playing in the only game with a double digit run total.
1B/OF | Jamie Romak | SK | S. Choi (L) | $4,500 | 8.22 |
Romak getting a struggling southpaw means he's in line for a jimmy jack or two versus the Dinos. So far this season, Romak's hitting .324 against LHP with four doubles, two home runs and eight RBI in only 37 at-bats. He's also batting .308 in July with two home runs in 26 at-bats. Rack up Romak.
1B | Dae Ho Lee | LOT | B. Kim (L) | $4,100 | 8.72 |
Lee makes the playbook batting .310 against LHP this year with three doubles, two home runs and eight RBI in 2020 plus owns a .997 OPS his last 10 games.
1B/2B | Jose Fernandez | DOO | T. Wilson (R) | $5,900 | 10.6 |
Left-handed hitters fare well against Wilson and Fernandez may be in the midst of a heater with six hits his last nine at-bats including a double and a home run in them.
Pos | Player | Team | Opp. Pitcher | DK Sal. | DK FPPG |
2B | Hoon Jung | LOT | B. Kim (L) | $4,100 | 9.6 |
Jung's racked up multiple hits in three of his last four contests with four hits his last two games with a home run and stolen base in them.
1B/2B | Joo Hwan Choi | DOO | T. Wilson | $3,400 | 8.5 |
Riding the wave of a 10-game hit streak, Choi drove in three runs with four hits on Wednesday and owns a .464 average in July with eight RBI for a surging Doosan offense.
2B | Min Woo Park | NCD | R. Pinto (R) | $5,200 | 7.96 |
Accumulated six hits his last three starts with two runs, two doubles, a home run and two RBI batting atop the powerful Dinos attack.
2B/3B | Dong Hee Han | LOT | B. Kim (L) | $2,600 | 8 |
Han loves seeing southpaws on the bump with 11 hits in 22 at-bats recording two doubles, a home run and walking four times against them. He will be a low priced and potentially low owned GPP target with cash game floor as well.
2B/SS | Jin Hyuk No | NCD | R. Pinto (R) | $5,900 | 6.58 |
Can run hot and cold but tallied two hits with a run yesterday plus hits .310 agaisnt RHP with 11 extra-base hits this year. Pinto struggles with LHH so connect the dots.
OF | Preston Tucker | KIA | B. Jo (R) | $5,800 | 10.06 |
Tucker's homered in two straight games and hit safely his last four driving in five runs. He went through a mini slump but seems to be emerging and gets a RHP without the ability to miss bats. A home run hat trick for Tucker Thursday?
OF | Kang Min Kim | SK | S. Choi (L) | $3,100 | 5.17 |
Another player you need confirmation he's in the lineup, but if so, Kim hits .357 against LHP with four doubles and three home runs this year. He also homered off of Choi earlier this year if you are a batter versus pitcher stan.
OF | Sung Bum Na | NCD | R. Pinto (R) | $5,600 | 10.76 |
Shines brightly under the ESPN lights, Na gets Pinto who cedes a .320 average to LHH while issuing them 21 walks. If he gets behind Na and grooves one, my man Sung is no Bum. Oh, and six of Na's last 10 hits went for extra-bases (three doubles, one triple, tow home runs) in his last eight contests.
1B/OF | Jae Hwan Kim | DOO | T. Wilson (R) | $5,100 | 9.68 |
A left-handed power hitter in the Doosan lineup, who knew? Kim's on an eight-game hit streak with six RBI in them but no extra-base hits. Perhaps he ends this on Thursday. If so, he could retake the KBO lead in RBI sitting one behind the next guy...
OF | Mel Rojas Jr. | KTW | D. Gagnon (R) | $6,100 | 12 |
Segue alert, Rojas Jr. continues to mash and now leads the KBO in HR (19) and RBI (52) while ranking second in batting average. He's on a four-game hit streak with six RBI in them and batting .357 in July. Gagnon's a very good pitcher but lets LHH bat .294 this season.
OF | Aaron Altherr | NCD | R. Pinto (R) | $5,400 | 10.52 |
Slashing .259/.405/.744 his last 10 games with four home runs but none in his last five. Perhaps Pinto helps Altherr find his power but teams usually BABIP Pinto to death plus he issues far too many walks. Altherr could hit a double, steal in a base and drive in multiple runs if this game shoots out. |
Stacks
Team Stacks | |||||
1 | NCD | Dinos | Opp. Pitcher | Ricardo Pinto
Stack | Min Woo Park | Sung Bum Na | Aaron Altherr | Eui Ji Yang | Jin Hyuk No |
As the favorite in the game with the highest run total, targeting the powerful NC Dinos bats usually pays off. Coming off a loss and getting Pinto's 1.70 WHIP could translate to runs, especially for the LHH agianst whom Pinto yields a .320 average this year with a 16:21 K:BB.
2 | SK | Wyverns | Opp. Pitcher | Sung Young Choi
Stack | Ji Hoon Choi | Jamie Romak | Kang Min Kim
Chasing back the Dinos bats with some Wyverns also makes sense. Choi usually hits leadoff and bats .462 against LHP with three doubles this year. Romaks and Kim both appear in the playbook making a nice mini-stack on this slate.
3 | LOT | Giants | Opp. Pitcher | Bum Soo Kim
Mini-Stack | Hoon Jung | Dae Ho Lee | Dong Hee Han
Lotte faces Bum Soo Kim of Hanwha who boasts an enticing 3.60 ERA but his underlying 5.49 FIP suggests migration to the mean. If it happens on Thursday, the lefty masher on Lotte noted above could be a sneaky small stack on this slate. |
