Hitters |
Pos | Player | Team | Opp. Pitcher | DK Sal. |
1B/2B | Jose Miguel Fernandez | DOO | W. Jang (L) | $5,300 |
Fernandez enters gameplay with a robust .571 average leading the KBO, a 1.455 on-base plus slugging percentage, and racked up multi-hit games in four of his first five contests. Doosan's projected to score the most runs on Tuesday, so why not own their best hitter, especially when he can be used at second base. |
SS | Jae Ho Kim | DOO | W. Jang (L) | $2,300 |
Here's some balance if rostering Fernandez, Kim's a cheap piece of the Doosan offense off to a .421/.476/.474 start averaging 9.5 Draft Kings points the last four games. |
OF | Jae Hwan Kim | DOO | W. Jang (L) | $4,800 |
Perhaps a more likely GPP play, Kim's hitting .300/.364/.650 with a team-leading .350 isolated power. He's launched two home runs in 23 plate appearances this season. |
OF | Jun Woo Jeon | LOT | R. Alcantara (R) | $3,800 |
If going against the grain, the Giants remain the only undefeated team left in the KBO and could put up runs against Doosan in the highest over/under on the slate. Jeon's slashing .318/.348/.682 with two doubles, two home runs, and four RBI. |
2B/SS | Dixon Machado | LOT | R. Alcantara (R) | $4,700 |
Well, it's apparent Draft Kings does not buy the hot start by Machado in the KBO. Machado ranks seventh in OPS (1.317), second in isolated power (.500), and tied for first in home runs (3). He's eligible at multiple positions and would be even more appealing if Lotte would bat him higher than seventh. Despite this, Machado's already driven in eight runs and even stolen a base. |
OF | Ah Seop Son | LOT | R. Alcantara (R) | $3,000 |
A cheap dart in the outfield, Son's hitting .316/.381/.526 with a home run and six RBI over his first 23 plate appearances. |
C | Ji Young Lee | KIW | B. Lively (R) | $3,600 |
With catchers being tough to find in the KBO, Lee could be a worthy play, especially if Eui Ji Yang of the Dinos remains sidelined with an injury. Plus, Lee's cheaper. However, there's a bit of all or nothing in Lee's game so best reserved for GPP play. Lee produced a double and a triple his last start on Sunday improving his slash line to .364/.417/.636 on the season. |
1B | Byung Ho Park | KIW | B. Lively (R) | $5,200 |
A recognizable player in the KBO, Park led the league in home runs last year with 33 and he's hit two already this year. Park can be boom or bust but he's intriguing as a power option at first base. |
OF | Jung Hoo Lee | KIW | B. Lively (R) | $4,600 |
An on-base machine, Lee's slashing .421/.542/.895 with a double, triple, two home runs, six RBI and more walks (4) than strikeouts (2) through 25 plate appearances. Pretty, pretty, pretty good. |

1B/OF | Won Joon Choi | KIA | M. Kim (R) | $2,700 |
Another low priced dart throw for cash play, Choi's slashing .318/.400/.364 so he projects better at getting on base rather than producing power to this point. But there's something to be said for that. |
OF | Preston Tucker | KIA | M. Kim (R) | $5,500 |
Well, Tucker only appeared on a skit on Saturday Night Live then went 5-for-5 with two home runs the next morning. So, saying he's hot would be an understatement given his ridiculous .476/.560/.905 slash line. Tucker ranks first in KBO OPS (1.465), fourth in isolated power (.429), and tied for first in home runs (3) on the season. For a sweetener, his 11 RBI also leads the league. |
OF | Hyung Woo Choi | KIA | M. Kim (R) | $6,000 |
Guessing Draft Kings anticipates a huge night from Choi seeing his price tag. Choi's hitting .308/.333/.500 this year with two doubles, a home run, and four RBI. Not sure I'd pay full retail but the choice is yours. |
C | Eui Ji Yang (inj) | NCD | O. Despaigne (R) | $4,700 |
Yang left Sunday's game with a limp, so his availability remains in question for Tuesday. Meaning he's a risky venture as the highest priced catcher on the slate. Yang's a terrific hitter with a .333/.391/.524 line so far but there's value to be mined at the position with more appeal since Yang may miss this game. Check for his name when lineups lock an hour before games. |
2B/3B | Jin Hyuk No | NCD | O. Despaigne (R) | $3,000 |
If one's betting on a bounce-back by the Dinos, No's likely in play for DFS. No owns a .333/.429/.667 line with two home runs and six RBI this season. He's flying well below the radar and fits at two positions adding to his allure. |
OF | Aaron Altherr | NCD | O. Despaigne (R) | $5,800 |
A hefty price tag for a hitter with a .250 average. Still, Altherr suffered a minor tweak diving for a ball last week, and with the league off on Monday could be back healthy in this contest for the Dinos. He will be low owned due to the price tag for the contrarian crowd. |
OF | Sung Bum Na | NCD | O. Despaigne (R) | $3,600 |
Sometimes it's the overlooked player in a stack who accumulates the points. Na's also underperformed so far with a .278/.435/.444 line but he's walked (4) more than he's struck out (3) with a home run and three RBI so far in 2020. Perhaps a tournament darling in this slate. |
2B | Kyung Soo Park | KTW | D. Rucinski (R) | $4,000 |
Heading into the season, the KBO preview talked about the middle infield lacking pop but Park's slashing .353/.450/.529 with a home run and five RBI through his first 21 plate appearances. |
OF | Mel Rojas Jr. | KTW | D. Rucinski (R) | $5,600 |
It's tough to ignore Rojas Jr. on any slate but Rucinski could be a tough match-up. Bullpens in the KBO often provide the therapy for this so Rojas and his robust .455/.500/.773 slash line with four doubles and one home run may be a low owned upside play on Tuesday. |
1B/OF | Baek Ho Kang | KTW | D. Rucinski (R) | $5,700 |
An all or nothing play, Kang's only 20 years old with swagger and swings for the fences. Four of his six hits resulted in extra-bases (two doubles, two home runs). |
1B | Roberto Ramos | LG | N. Kingham (R) | $2,700 |
DraftKings algorithm missed on Ramos. He launched two home runs on Sunday, boasts a .450/.500/.850 slash and he's cheap as hell. My favorite 1B play due to production versus the price tag on the slate. |
C | Kang Nam Yoo | LG | N. Kingham (R) | $3,000 |
Another cheap player worthy of use Tuesday. Yoo's hitting .267/.312/.600 but with two doubles and a home run among his four hits with six RBI. Boom or bust meet thy catcher. |
1B | Jamie Romak | SK | W. Cha (L) | $5,900 |
Again, due to the price Romak makes for a GPP play with low ownership. He blasted 29 home runs last year and opens this game with only one in 2020 with a "juiced" ball. Things could change soon. If only his price would go down a bit. |
OF | Dong Min Han | SK | W. Cha (L) | $4,000 |
For some reason, Han's tied for the league lead in home runs with three yet remains cheap with a .389/.421/.944 slash and six RBI. |
3B/SS | Jeong Choi | SK | W. Cha (L) | $5,100 |
So, it's been a less than audacious start to Choi's 2020 season. But, he's too talented to remain hitting below the Mendoza line. What does this mean? Choi's due for a huge game soon and could start as soon as Tuesday with a home run in this contest. Calling it, you heard me. |
