Playing out of the final threesome, overnight tri-leader and World No. 103 Max Homa labored to a 4-over-par 38-38=76 in the final round of The American Express, cratering 20 spots to T21 on 11-under 277, a distant 12 in arrears of overnight tri-leader, playing competitor and champion Si Woo Kim (64).

The UC-Berkeley alum falls to 1-for-2 as a 54-hole leader/co-leader but does improve to 4-for-7 on the season with two top 25s, two straight after T12 at Mayakoba seven weeks ago. This was his fifth AmEx and second cash, bettering a T48 last year where he was T9 after 54 holes (71-68-63-75). After opening with 66-70 (NT-SC) and 65, the 30-year-old co-led with Kim and Tony Finau (68), and hit eight (of 14) fairways and 12 greens in regulation. He gained 0.395 strokes off-the-tee but lost 0.357 approaching and 2.112 around-the-green. The Burbank native conjured one, two-putt birdie-4 at hole 5, outbalanced by five bogeys at 3, 6, 9 (3-putt from 62'7"), 15 and 18, posting a dismal 2.083 putts per GIR and -3.307 SG: Putting with 35 total putts. For the week, he totaled 25 birdies, 3rd in that stat, versus nine bogeys, one double, and one triple.

Playing out of the fourth-to-last threesome, World No. 390 Doug Ghim carved out a 3-under-par 33-36=69 in the final round of The American Express to conclude on 15-under 273, up three places to a career-best T5, eight adrift of overnight tri-leader and champion Si Woo Kim (64).

The Las Vegas resident improves to 6-for-8 on the season with five top 25s, first since T18 at the RSM three starts ago. Overall, it's his 11th career top 25 in 37 events and first top 10, brushing aside a prior-best T12 at the 2019 AT&T Byron Nelson as a non-member sponsor invite. This was the 24-year-old's second AmEx after a missed cut last year by five (68-70-74), and ended the week with 18 birdies, T34 in that stat, against just five bogeys, T5 in that category. After opening with 67-68 (SC-NT) and 69, he began T8 on 12-under, three back, and hit 10 (of 14) fairways and 13 greens in regulation. The Des Plaines, Illinois, native lost strokes approaching (-0.218) and around-the-green (-0.218), but gained 2.455 with the flat stick. He squared a lone bogey-4 at 13, offset by four birdies at 5, 7, 8 and 16, two from between nine and 21 feet, registering 1.692 putts per GIR with 28 total putts, highlighted by a walk-off par-saver at 18 from 41'7". Ghim ranked T1 in GIR at 81.94 percent (59/72) and No. 1 in Scrambling at 92.31 percent.

Playing out of the final threesome, overnight tri-leader and World No. 22 Tony Finau birdied two of his final four holes to salvage a 4-under-par 33-35=68 in the final round of The American Express, dropping three spots to a season-best solo 4th on 19-under 269, four in arrears of overnight tri-leader, playing competitor and champion Si Woo Kim, who fired a bogey-free 64.

The AmEx ambassador, who falls to 0-for-4 as a 54-hole leader/co-leader, nets his second top 25 in the event, second straight after T14 last year (69-62-71-69). He improves to 7-for-7 on the season with five top 25s and two top 10s, first since T8 at the U.S. Open six starts ago in his season-opener, and records his first top-5 finish since solo 5th at last season's BMW Championship eight starts ago. After opening with 68-66 (SC-NT) and 67, the Scottsdale resident co-led with two players, and hit 10 (of 14) fairways and 14 greens in regulation. He gained 1.383 strokes off-the-tee and 2.425 on approach, but lost 0.823 around-the-green and 0.366 on-the-green. The 31-year-old penciled six birdies at holes 1, 2, 8, 10, 15 and 18 (from 14'0"), taking some luster off with bogey-6 at 11, where he watered his second and then missed a 3'1" par-saver, and bogey-5 at 14 (missed par-saver from 7'8"). He recorded 1.643 putts per GIR with 28 total putts, missing two birdie chances from inside of eight feet but did save par two times from between six and 11 feet. For the week, the Utah native totaled 27 birdies, 2nd in that stat, versus six bogeys and one double.

Playing out of the third-to-last threesome, World No. 217 Cameron Davis enjoyed a bogey-free 8-under-par 30-34=64 in the final round of The American Express to wrap on 20-under 268, up five places to a career-best solo 3rd, three adrift of overnight tri-leader and champion Si Woo Kim (64).

The Aussie records his fourth career top 10 in 57 events, supplanting a prior-best T6 at the Sanderson Farms five starts ago as a 54-hole tri-leader. This was his third consecutive AmEx and third top 30, bettering a T28 on debut in 2019, and improves to 6-for-7 on the season with two top 25s and two top 10s. After kicking off with 68-70 (NT-SC) and 66, the 25-year-old began T8 on 12-under, three back of Kim. On 10 (of 14) fairways and 13 greens in regulation, he gained 1.528 strokes off-the-tee, 2.520 approaching and 0.481 around-the-green. Davis ticked eight birdies at holes 2, 3 (hole-out from 24'0" away), 5, 7-9, 11 and 15, three from between 12 and 22 feet, saved par at 6 from 11'2", and posted 2.090 SG: Putting with 25 total putts. For the week, he totaled two eagles, T1 in that stat (both in R3), and 22 birdies versus six bogeys.

Playing out of the seventh-to-last threesome, World No. 10 Patrick Cantlay twirled a course-record, bogey-free 11-under-par 30-31=61 in the final round of The American Express to finish up on 22-under 266, up 11 spots to solo 2nd, one short of overnight tri-leader and champion Si Woo Kim, who carded a bogey-free 64 out of the final threesome.

The top-ranked OWGRer in the field and pre-tourney 12/1 fave outright made a huge run at the trophy but Kim birdied the 70th and 71st hole to edge him. After opening with 69-71 (NT-SC), one of 17 to make the cut (T56) on the number, he wrapped with 65 and week-low 61, ringing up 20 birdies against two bogeys over the weekend. This was the UCLA product's third AmEx and second top 10, second straight after T9 last year, and improves to 7-for-7 on the season with five top 25s and three top 10s. Overall, this is his 11th podium in 104 events, first since his third TOUR win at the ZOZO @ SHERWOOD four starts ago, and fifth career runner-up. For the week, the Long Beach native totaled 29 birdies, No. 1 in that stat, versus five bogeys and a double, and also ranked No. 1 in putts per GIR at 1.558. In the finale, he found 10 (of 14) fairways and 15 greens in regulation, gaining 3.157 strokes approaching and 1.539 around-the-green. The 28-year-old hung up 11 birdies at holes 2, 4-6, 8, 9, 11, 13, 15, 16 and 18, four from between 10 and 38 feet and two from greater than 33 feet, registering 4.366 SG: Putting with 23 total putts.

Playing out of the final threesome, overnight tri-leader and World No. 96 Si Woo Kim painted a bogey-free 8-under-par 32-32=64 in the final round of The American Express for a 72-hole tally of 23-under 265, good for a one-shot victory over runner-up Patrick Cantlay (61), three clear of 3rd-place finisher Cameron Davis (64).

The 25-year-old, a pre-tourney 60/1 outright, bags his third TOUR title in 164 events, first since a come-from-behind version at the 2017 PLAYERS 103 starts ago, and improves to 2-for-4 as a 54-hole leader/co-leader. This was his fourth AmEx and second top 10, joining a T9 on debut in 2016, and is now 7-for-9 on the season with four top 25s and two top 10s, bettering a T8 at the Shriners five starts ago. After kicking off with 66-68 (SC-NT) and 67, Rounds 1 and 3 bogey-free, the South Korean began T1 with Tony Finau (68) and Max Homa (76) and landed 11 (of 14) fairways and 15 greens in regulation. He posted 1.154 SG: Off-the-Tee, 2.081 SG: Approach, 0.461 SG: Around, and 3.702 SG: Tee-to-Green. The Dallas resident, who played his final 37 holes bogey-free, rang up eight birdies at holes 4, 5, 7, 8, 10, 11, 16 and 17, two from between 11 and 19 feet, recording 2.919 SG: Putting with 26 total putts. For the week, he tallied one eagle and 23 birdies versus two bogeys and ranked T1 in GIR at 81.94 percent (59/72).

World No. 26 Abraham Ancer birdied his final three holes en route to a 6-under-par 34-32=66 in the final round of The American Express to conclude on 15-under 273, up 20 places to T5 with play winding down.

This was the 29-year-old's fifth appearance, third top 25 and second top 10, second straight after solo 2nd last year (68-67-66-63). He improves to 8-for-9 on the season with five top 25s and two top 10s, joining a solo 4th at the Shriners (66-66-65-67) seven starts ago. After opening with 69-65 (SC-NT) and 73, the Oklahoma alum began T25 on 9-under, three shy of the overnight top 10 and hit 10 (of 14) fairways and 15 greens in regulation. He squared a lone bogey-5 at hole 3 (3-putt from 31'3"), camouflaged by an eagle-3 at 8 (from 29'0") and five birdies at 7, 11 and a hat-trick at 16-18. The Mexican, who was born in Texas, gained 3.385 strokes approaching and 1.408 on-the-green, wrapping the week with one eagle and 21 birdies against four bogeys and two doubles.

Beginning off No. 10 tee, World No. 271 Chase Seiffert fired a 7-under-par 33-32=65 in the third round of The American Express to reach 12-under 204, up 29 spots to T8, three adrift of three tri-leaders at the top.

This is the 29-year-old's second AmEx after T21 last year where he was T4 after 54 holes (66-67-67-73). He arrived this week 3-for-8 on the season with one top 25, a T17 at the Sanderson Farms six starts ago, and off a missed cut by one at last week's Sony on 3-under 137 (65-72). The FSU alum's career best among two top 10s in 32 prior events is solo 4th at last season's inaugural Workday Charity Open as an alternate in his course debut. After opening with 72-67 (SC-NT), he began T37 on 5-under, one inside the cut line and three shy of the overnight top 10. On eight (of 14) fairways and 15 greens in regulation, the Floridian outflanked one bogey-6 at 11 (watered second shot), with eight circles at 12-16, 1 (hole-out from 14'2" away), 8 and 9, two conventionally from between 12 and 16 feet. He'll play out of the fourth-to-last threesome on Sunday with Francesco Molinari and Doug Ghim.
