We’ve got the penultimate stop in the FedExCup Playoffs, the BMW Championship. The Top 70 in the FedExCup standings have advanced to this no-cut event, with the top 30 advancing to the Tour Championship next week at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, Ga. This edition of the BMW Championship will be held at Aronimink Golf Club in Newtown Square, PA.

There are 23 golfers in this field of 70 that played on this course in 2010 and/or 2011 but despite having that experience, those players will have to take out a fresh note pad like all the others this week. The course stretches out 7,267 yards, which is 30 yards longer than the last time the Quicken Loans National was hosted here. Only the par-5 ninth hole remains unchanged at 605 yards and the 556 yard 16th hole is the other par 5.

As always, keeping the ball in play is key but putting on uneven and unfamiliar surfaces running up to 12 feet on the Stimpmeter will really separate the men from the boys this week. When Aronimink hosted the QLN, it was ranked among the most difficult courses for proximity to the hole and to convert scoring opportunities into birdies or better.

As I mentioned last week, this will be a no cut event. Everyone of the players will play all 72 holes but we don't know exactly when they'll finish as there is a pretty sizeable risk of rain and thunderstorms in the forecast throughout the tournament. You'll see warm and humid temperatures to begin the week but will drop about 15 degrees by Sunday when the winds start to blow.

Being that this is such a small field and there are no cuts, I'm not going to put together a full PGA Playbook but rather give you 2 GPP Optimal Lineups for DraftKings and Fanduel.

When this tournmanet is over, the top 30 players in the FedEx Cup standings will qualify to play in the Tour Championship. Those qualifiers will get a week of rest before heading to East Lake to determine this year's FedEx Cup Champion.

GOOD LUCK!
