Fantasy Alarm is taking a different approach to help our subscribers build successful DFS lineups.  I will be giving you my personal core plays for this weekend's tournament.  These players listed below are my three favorite top tier, middle tier and value tier players for both DraftKings and Fanduel.  They will be at the core of all my lineups for this weekend's Masters Tournament and then I'll use my playbook to fill out the remaining spots in my lineup.

Make sure you read my full PGA DFS Playbook for the Masters before using these core plays.  You can also take a look at my Weekly Tournament Projections at any time.

We’ve got our first Major Championship of the PGA Tour season, the Masters at Augusta National.  It’s a special event as you’ve seen from all of my articles this week.  I spoke about this a few times but with such a small field of players who have a legitimate chance of winning, you can mix your approach with both stars and scrubs and balance.

You’ve got enough low end value this week to set a lineup without much risk.  I think it is easier to go stars and scrubs on Fanduel but with players like Corey Conners, Brian Harman, Ian Poulter and Si Woo Kim listed under 7K, you can do it on DraftKings as well.  You could start your lineup with DJ and Cantlay at the top and Si Woo Kim with Conners at the bottom and have room to fit two mid 7K players.  That’s a solid start to a stars and scrubs lineup.

When you look at the balanced approach this week, I love starting with Spieth and Finau at the top and Niemann with Zalatoris at the bottom and have room for two low end 8K players.  That’s a lineup construction I love this weekend.

I always make sure to remind people before building lineups for an event like the Masters or any major championship event to leave money on the table.  You should never zero out your salary cap for an event this big.  We know the importance of differentiate yourself from the majority in these tournaments, well you can’t do that if you zero out your lineups like most everyone else will do.  Also, don’t be afraid to put more than two guys who you think will be higher owned because it really only takes one or two players with an ownership under ten percent to bring home a tournament title.

This new format of core plays I think is way more valuable to our subscribers because it lends more to teaching than just copy and pasting.  A set of these players will be in each one of my lineups this weekend and then a mix of players from my playbook will fill out the rest.

If you have any more questions, you can leave them in the chat or hit me up on twitter @Drew_Phelps83.  Good Luck!
