After no Value Vault yesterday, let’s come back in a big way today. If you need cheap players that can produce like top-tier studs for your lineup(s) tonight, you’ve come to the right place. Whether you’re looking at entering double-ups or taking down a tournament, there are players below to help out your cause! Keep on reading below to find my favorite value bats, and even my favorite value arm, for Tuesday’s main slate on Yahoo, FanDuel and DraftKings!

All Sites

TJ Friedl, OF CIN ($2,100 FD/$2,200 DK/$12 Yahoo) - Hopefully Friedl makes the lineup tonight, because he should be very productive at this price point. He’s 7-for-15 against righties this year, good for a .467 batting average and 1.137 OPS and Chicago’s Reynaldo López has a 6.23 ERA over his last five appearances (4 GS). I really like Friedl as a cheap play this evening, assuming he cracks the lineup, which he has of late against RHP.

Edward Olivares, OF KC ($2,100 FD/$2,200 DK/$7 Yahoo) - Please, Kansas City, play this man tonight! Cleveland’s Aaron Civale has allowed a 1.67 HR/9 this season and over his last six starts, he’s 2-3 with a 6.48 ERA and 2.88 HR/9! Olivares is 2-for-3 with a home run in his career against Civale, and the young outfielder has a .509 slugging percentage against righties this season. UPDATE: Olivares isn’t playing tonight. If you’re strapped for cash, pivot to TJ Friedl.

Yahoo

Andy Ibáñez, 2B TEX ($13) - Ibanez hits lefties well. It’s what he does. Ibanez has a .322 batting average against southpaws in 2021, while Los Angeles’ Packy Naughton has allowed a .335 wOBA to right-handed hitters. The Texas infielder is hitting .263 over the last week, and he has a .413 slugging percentage this year in his home park.

Whit Merrifield, 2B KC ($14) - Merrifield is 3-for-6 with a home run in his career against Aaron Civale, and the consistent second baseman is having another productive campaign. He’s hitting .283 over the last two weeks and he has a .288 batting average and .740 OPS at home in 2021. He’s too cheap on Yahoo tonight.

DraftKings

Logan Webb, SP SFG ($8,900) - When looking for my preferred value pitcher of the day, Webb was appealing. Then, I looked on Yahoo, and he was the most expensive pitcher on the main slate! Wow! However, on DraftKings, there are seven, I repeat, SEVEN pitchers more expensive than the San Francisco right-hander. He has a 4.35 ERA over his last five starts, posting an excellent 33:5 K/BB ratio during that span. He also gets a great matchup against an Arizona offense that ranks in the bottom five in batting average, OBP, slugging percentage and wOBA in the month of September.

Bobby Dalbec, 1B BOS ($3,100) - Dalbec may be 0-for-6 in his career against Baltimore’s Bruce Zimmermann but that isn’t stopping me from playing him today. The Boston slugger has a .284 batting average and .884 OPS against southpaws in 2021, and he has an .891 OPS against Baltimore this season. Dalbec is sporting a .690 slugging percentage over the last two weeks and Zimmermann is making his first appearance since June.

FanDuel:

Keibert Ruiz, C WSH ($3,000) - A lot of good things should come from this game, but the one that should occur at a value is Mr. Ruiz. He’s hitting an even .400 with a 1.042 OPS over the last two weeks, and is sporting a quality .318 batting average against southpaws. Sure, the power against lefties hasn’t been there, with all seven of his being singles, but I’ll buy into his .909 OPS on the road this year, especially playing in Coors Field.

Matt Chapman, 3B OAK ($3,200) - Chapman against a lefty? Yes please! Chapman against a lefty he has a good track record against? Yes please! Chapman against a lefty against whom he has had success and he’s just barely over $3,000 on FanDuel? WHERE DO I SIGN!? Chapman is 5-for16 with two home runs against Seattle’s Yusei Kikuchi, and Chapman has an .815 OPS against southpaws in 2021. He has 13 home runs in 341 at-bats against RHP (26.2 AB/HR) but he has 14 home runs in just 178 at-bats (12.7 AB/HR) against lefties! This is the perfect chance for Chapman to break out of this slump he’s in. Play at your own risk in GPPs.
