It’s Sunday, so you know what that means! It’s time to take a look at the interleague matchups for the upcoming week and determine how it will affect our fantasy lineups. What fantasy players stand to gain some value? You’ll find that and more here at Fantasy Alarm!

This week, we have just a handful of games that are of the interleague variety! Keep on reading to see who gains/losses some at-bats, as well as fantasy value for the week that lies ahead.

Blue Jays @ Nationals (8/17-8/18)

Randal Grichuk could have a tough time seeing the lineup in these two games. The Blue Jays have been rotating its regulars of late in the DH spot, namely George Springer and Teoscar Hernández. Springer and Hernandez will take two outfield spots, leaving Grichuk, Lourdes Gurriel Jr., and Corey Dickerson one spot between them.

Winners: None

Losers: Outfielders NOT named Springer or Hernandez

Braves @ Orioles (8/20-8/22)

With Travis D’Arnaud coming back from injury, the team could opt to use him as the DH for this weekend set. Or, they could let Jorge Soler return to his stomping grounds (DH), or maybe even Joc Peterson if they want. My gut is telling me Soler or D’Arnaud get the lion’s share of the DH at-bats.

Winners: Jorge Soler and Travis D’Arnaud

Losers: None

Royals @ Cubs (8/20-8/22)

Hunter Dozier and Ryan O’Hearn will split duties this weekend. Cubs are scheduled to throw two right-handers, which stands to benefit O’Hearn, as he primarily plays against righties. Dozier will find himself on the short side of the platoon with just one southpaw scheduled for Chicago.

Winners: Hunter Dozier

Losers: Ryan O’Hearn

Giants @ Athletics (8/20-8/22)

Darin Ruf should have a clear path to at-bats in this three-game set. With the added luxury of the designated hitter, they can leave Brandon Belt at first base, and they don’t have to be forced to put Ruf in the outfield. He should get some DH time this weekend, or maybe time at first if they let Belt DH.

Winners: Darin Ruf

Losers: None
