New Jersey Devils @ Chicago Blackhawks

The Devils are playing for the second night in a row on the road, and they’ll have to face Corey Crawford who is likely to start after Anton Forsberg started for the Hawks last night. You can essentially pass on Devils as a result. That said, Kyle Palmieri is underpriced on both sites.

The Hawks have the highest implied total of the night, so you’ll have to get exposure to them in cash. Brandon Saad easily leads the team in ixGF/60 (individual goals for per 60), and he’s priced very well on FD, so he’s a great option there. On DK, Patrick Kane is priced oddly reasonably. If you need a value option, Alex DeBrincat see work on the second PP unit and is priced under 4K on both sites. On the blue line, Brent Seabrook is priced very well on both sites.

Crawford is the chalk play of the night in net as the Hawks are the biggest favorite of the night by far. Crawford has been excellent this season with the third best adjusted save percentage per Corsica.

Keith Kincaid will start in net for the Devils and he has some GPP appeal. The Devils allow the third most shot attempts per 60 and Chicago takes the fifth most shot attempts per 60, so Kincaid should see a ton of rubber tonight.

Edmonton Oilers @ Washington Capitals

The Oilers are another team playing for the second night in a row on the road, and they’re also facing a good goaltender in Braden Holtby. Washington also doesn’t give up a ton of shots, so the matchup is less than ideal for the Oil tonight. If anything, a Ryan Nugent-Hopkins/Milan Lucic mini-stack on FD could be used in GPPs.

The Oilers are starting backup goalie Laurent Brossoit tonight, so the Caps have a great matchup. They’re one of three teams with an expected total higher than three goals tonight. Fit Alex Ovechkin in your cash lineups if possible. It should be possible given that his price on DK isn’t crazy, and the cap on FD is softer. John Carlson is about their only viable option on the blue line.

Holtby is obviously a cash option facing off against Brossoit. He also has some upside given that the Oilers rank second in shot attempts per 60. He should see plenty of rubber as a result.

Tampa Bay Lightning @ Anaheim Ducks

Anaheim has allowed the fourth most shot attempts per 60 at even strength this season, and John Gibson has been below average so far, so this unquestionably a good matchup for the Bolts. The Blots offense has been dynamic this season as they rank second in goals scored. They’ll be popular tonight.

Ideally you’ll pay up for Nikita Kucherov in cash if you can, but paying up for the stud on every team will be tough. If you can’t afford Kuch, his center Vladislav Namestnikov is a cheaper option to get some exposure to him. Second line center Brayden Point is also an affordable option. He trails only Kuch on the team in ixGF/60. Defenseman Mikhail Sergachev sees work on the second PP unit and is priced well on both sites.

Andrei Vasilevskiy is a solid cash option with Tampa at -135. The Bolts are the only one of the four favorites that are playing on the road, so Vas might not be as highly owned as some of the other goalie favorites.

San Jose Sharks @ Los Angeles Kings

This is a terrible game for fantasy. Both San Jose and Los Angeles are below average matchups for opposing skaters. Martin Jones has been below average so far this season, so Jonathan Quick is the best fantasy option in this game. He works in cash by way of LA being a -140 favorite, and he should see enough rubber to work for GPPs as well.

As far as skaters go, Joonas Donskoi is a value option playing on San Jose’s top line. Tyler Toffoli is a nice mid-price option for the Kings, and Jake Muzzin is a good value on FD. But this isn’t a fantasy-friendly game to which you need exposure.
